This morning, I felt better than yesterday, but that was because I hadn't started work yet.

After my shower I noticed Jake was wandering about. He didn't seem to want attention - of course, not until I was ready to leave, on-time, for work. At that point, he decides to want to go outside. I let him out, and in his typically stupid fashion, he goes for his water bowl. Why do Golden Labs like ice-water and not room-temperature water?

After his drink he went into the backyard to go to the washroom. After a couple of impatient minutes I tried calling him back inside and he just stared blankly at me. In anger, I decided to close the back door and lock it, leaving him out in the cold until Mom woke up.

...of course, I decided after getting my stuff in the car to let him in the front door and be on my way.

I ended up getting to work 10 minutes late. It's not that big of a deal, since they trust us to keep the station running... we effectively have a 30-minute buffer in case of any problems in the morning.

Dammit, the reason I am getting up at 4am is not because Jake wants a cold drink! I hope he realizes that we get quite upset at him when he does this. We raise our hand at him (we don't hit unless it's really serious), and he does cower, but it seems to have no lasting effect in his little doggy-brain. v_v

On my walk today, I was determined to find that skull, but I guess someone or something found it after I had - it appears to have disappeared. :P

However, at the lakeshore, I was watching the ducks, and I saw something else. It dove under the water with a splash the minute I spotted it. Intruiged, I kept a close eye on the water, waiting for it to resurface. I followed it (occasionally scaring it when my walking was too loud), and found a larger one, as well. I've determined that they were beavers! How they have survived in that water I dunno.

On the way back, a cotton-tail rabbit ran across the road! It was maybe about the size of a head of lettuce... Next week, I am bringing food on my walk in an attempt to gain their trust. ^_^

I cannot believe the amount of wildlife that I have seen in the past month! I don't even see this many animals up at our cottage in Nippissing...

...On the way to lunch, I saw what must've been at least 60 Canadian Geese! They were feeding on a grass field... and thankfully there was a fence between me and them... enough of them coulda swarmed me O_o

This is very Jedi.

Man... I wonder what you'll see next on your adventures? Especially since it's during semi-weird hours... It must be cool though. Some of this stuff is good to look at for inspiration, since not everyone has an opportunity to walk around like you do :D *thumbs up* Hope it serves you well
