Christine knows how to perk me up. She was downtown yesterday and found two things: The Equal Measure (which rocks, btw) and a small Kidrobot Adult Swim Figurine - we happened to get The Monarch :D

Well, I'm sick-up in bed, so now's the best time for me to go through my e-mails that have been piling up, reply to any outstanding ones (as horrible as that is, I really should be more punctual when replying) and I'll be sticking up a whole lot of links in LJ that I found interesting.

As such, they're under this sentence.

I can't remember why I looked up the Dramatic Prairie/Groundhog, but regardless, YouTube surfing leads me to a Sparta Remix featuring the Dramatic Prairie/Groundhog.

Sega created a robotic girlfriend called "Ema". It's truly adorable, and can even kiss people on the cheek.

OM NOM NOM NOM. Yep, like I Can Has Cheezburger but without the cats or advertising.

LA has all the cool stuff! They had a full-size operational Wall-E there. Looks really good! :D (On a side note, I have to say that I was surprised that Wall-E's advertising disappeared off the face of the earth after a few days of release. As highly-acclaimed as it was, did the public really not like that movie very much? Because I loved it.)

If anyone's still needing to get a new PC and wants XP instead of Vista, apparently you can - for a short time left, and only if you fib a touch. (This laptop seems to have some problem with the wireless in XP all of a sudden. Kubuntu, no problems. Well, at least that prevents me from fiddling around on the internet when I should be doing business work.)

I found a cool mashup of a Saw Trailer and Wallace & Gromit. I wish I had this kind of skill and imagination :)

A humourous look at the creation of Geometry Wars 2. You gotta admit, the character design looks incredible this time around!

This is something I need, and the name is oddly familiar thanks to Harry Potter - Pensieve will backup your memory onto a hard drive. I'm sure there are some shortcomings (like hard drive capacity) but they way tech's going, it shouldn't be a problem... sometime...

A term I would use to describe myself would be "eternally curious". Too bad the domain name's already taken. :P In any case, I love that I can get online and find out why we call a stiff leg that hurts a Charley Horse.

In terms of games I've been playing a lot recently:
- On my Desktop, I've been playing Everyday Shooter. It's really simple but I love the relaxing atmosphere with the music and the procedurally-generated levels.
- On my Laptop (which is running Kubuntu more and more), I'm playing FreeDroid, a Freeware version of the old-school C64 game Paradroid. I loved playing that game as a kid and I still love it today - and they can even use the old-school retro graphics, even! :D
- On the Wii, the last game I played was Rock Band, but I haven't touched it in awhile. Christine's taking more of the time and is playing Dr. Mario RX. Rock Band 2 comes out in a few months, and I'm crossing my fingers for DLC by that time.
- Last week I was over at [livejournal.com profile] bassbeast and [livejournal.com profile] liradralyn's place, and we played Braid for... what, maybe 3-4 hours straight? I don't think I've ever felt so clever in playing a game in a long time, and I applaud the game creators for such clever puzzles. The entire game is so polished that it just flows, and all the different time mechanics are awesome, and for some reason I stil get a kick out of stomping on a badguy's head, then rewinding time and hearing their squeal backwards. XD

Oh man, The Monarch, awesome XD Those toys look great... (what happens when you turn around Assy McGee though? XD)

The only good part of that Sparta remix was it introduced me to Batman vs. Phanto XD

That robotic girlfriend doesn't seem particularly effeminate to me, but I guess I'm not the robot type.. :p The weird thing for me was the toyshelf behind the speaker at 0:28 for some reason triggered ancient memories and I became convinced they were shooting in front of Mr. Dressup's toy shelf. X3;

I love the Geo Wars 2 video ;P

Do you listen to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, by any chance? The Charley Horse thing was a question on there not long ago!

I'm dying to try Braid, but no 360... I can wait for the PC version I guess. :P

You, sir, find good links!

I have no idea on the Assy McGee figurine. XD Christine wanted that one just for the value of having an ass on a shelf. XD

I've never heard of Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. It just popped into my head, and my family's always been thinking "we should compile a book of the origins of words"... but well, the internet's kinda killed that idea. :P

Why thank you ;)
