So, here I am, laying in bed, typing out what I've been thinking over the past few hours.
This week at work was pretty quiet. Not much was going on, although we did have a department meeting where our Manager announced that we lost 3 people fromExpressVu the newly-rebranded BellTV. It was unfortunate, but on the other hand we did lose 2500 managers from all over the business, so only losing 3 from one-quarter of the company isn't too bad.
I also had my Mid-Year review this week, and I told Matt that I had a little concern about how stagnant things are these days, but really I understand that it's due to the buyout (not a lot of money is wanted to be spent right now, so things are on standby, with the exception of the PPV upgrade which is about 5 years in the making). However, Matt assured me that things are looking up, and the fact that the company re-branded ExpressVu as "BellTV" tells him that they're not planning on breaking up and selling off the individual components of the company. He also told me that when he asked for comments from the Supervisors about me, almost every supervisor had something positive to say, even though I don't work with all of them all the time. He said that if I was ever concerned about my job, I should be prancing about and that they wouldn't get rid of one of the best workers there. Yes, he used the word 'prancing'. XD I am very happy to still hear that people look up to me and they use me as an example. (Now, if I can get my ass in gear so that I stop coming in late, I'd be set.)
In any case though, ever since Christine and I returned from the cottage last week, I've had a mild cough which, last night, turned ugly. I've never had a night where I would wake up, and I would be angry for being sick. Is there such a thing as an "Anger Fever" or something like that? In any case, I'm not doing well, and if I'm going to get better, I need to take some time off and just lay-up in bed. So, I've taken tomorrow off (thankfully there was someone who could take the shift) and I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it out to the convention this weekend, which sucks. I'd like to be there, but I'm overexerting myself. I've been pretty much working straight through this past week, and I haven't given myself any time to recuperate. And the evening before my cold turned worse, I also offered to make a batch of cookies for Manpuku before the weekend was out, and also to my sister, and I don't know if I can even do that. It would not be wise to handle cookies while sick. I even got a prescription medicine today which tastes like cigarette butts combined with black licorise and a hint of cherry. I might've been better with Buckley's.
And to add injury to sickness, I missed a step at home and scraped my arm across a hard corner of a banister. Owie.
In any case, I'm apologizing right now for my lack of support this weekend. I wish I could be there, but right now I need to get myself better. Otherwise, I can't help anyone.
At least I can sleep in this weekend. I need the rest. Goodnight, all. Thanks for reading :)
(ahh, that explains why there's so many "b"s in my spelling errors as of late. the b key is ultra-sensitive. I should look into that.)

(Does "strange, cigarette-tasting liquid" sound like something you'd find in a NetHack RPG? XD)

But then you had it identified and it was just a potion of cough suppression...
