*singsong* Cleaning out my links again, cleaning out the links...
K9 and Company. After talking for a bit about old Doctor Who shows, Mike pointed out that there was a short-lived (and by that I mean only the pilot exists) series spin-off featuring K9. It appears that K9 is geared to make a return to the small screen sometime soon due to the popularity of the Sarah Jane Adventures, which in itself is a spinoff from the new Doctor Who. The old K9 show has a snazzy opening... though I don't know if I could actually sit through the show, even though I love that robodog.

ghastlycomic links to a rather racy Orangina ad from France. Sexy dancing anthropomorphic animals ahead! (and apparently, lots of pop-cult references, too.)
A little while ago, I was thinking about the Darf Punk helmets and thinking I could make one. Though I have no skills in that department, I already feel defeated since there are a pair of helmets out there that I could never match. They look awesome! In any case, through all the link-digging I found out that Daft Punk has a new movie out, Electroma. (And their music video for Technologic on that website is damn creepy. Looks like an animatronic Chucky.
Being Tron Guy - the man behind the spandex suit. Actually really fascinating :D
Also, Makoto Shinkai has a new animated project out: Neko no Shuukai ("Cat's Gathering"). He seems to have a lot of cat stories. This one is no exception. :D

Neko no Shuukai is incredibly cute and I wants it.

Did you realise Torchwood was a Dr. Who spinoff, too? I never really watched Dr. Who so I didn't realise... what a great anagram, though. X3
What a dismissive title for K9 and Company, though! I mean the 'company' is only one person, but they don't name her by name, she just gets to be "and company"? X3
That 'Electroma' thing looks bizarre, but I'm intrigued... They didn't do the soundtrack, though? Weird choice... I wonder how much they had to do with the writing of Interstella? Maybe they did this because they want the film to be taken on its own merit, not on the strength of their music for which they're better known, or something? Nothing wrong with branching out into more than one field, I guess! :)
(also, where's the Technologic video? The only links I could find were to play the Electroma trailer, and what looked like a link to the Interstella 5555 site...)
Oh man, 'Voices Of A Distant Star'! I thought that name looked familiar.... I really didn't like Voices Of A Distant Star, though. XP Was that video the entirety of the film, or just a trailer or something?
Nyanyanyanya :o

I thought using "Torchwood" as an actual name of the show was a nice touch. Need to see some if not all of that, too. XD
I think Interstella 5555 was a closer collaboration between Daft Punk and Matsumoto, but Electroma's story sounds more original and just has Daft Punk's name on it due to its two "robots" in the story. I'm just guessing though.
You know what's strange with the Daft Punk website? I saw it at work and there was a link I could click that showed a music video for Technologic... now I can't see that, and I have to wonder if that's a Firefox/IE thing. Here's the Music Video on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPZJYQXQsm8) regardless.
I have reason to believe that video for "Cat's Gathering" is a trailer of sorts. Shinkai's got a couple of cat-related videos (that were on the Voices of a Distant Star DVD) and even while that short film was only 5 minutes long, they had 3-minute and 1-minute versions, for some very odd reason. :P
