A couple of days ago I found an e-mail from "This Is True", a trusted mailing list, in my Spam box. As I've subscribed to this and I slapped a label on it in GMail, it was easy to spot and I marked it "Not Spam".

I wasn't aware of it at the time, but apparently the reason this ended in my Spam Folder may be related to the fact that "Yahoos" (people with Yahoo e-mail accounts) have been marking it as spam, and now Yahoo has blocked out This-Is-True entirely, and has sided with the Yahoos, saying they don't deal with "spammers".

Needless to say, the owner of the list is beyond upset. It's effectively cut off 15% of his revenue because of some, well, stupid yahoos. I'm posting this up to help Randy recover some of that lost revenue. If you enjoy hearing news about the strange, the bizarre, and the absolutely true, then I suggest you click on over to This is True, read through a sample issue, and subscribe! :)
