Ooh, I've got an interesting idea for a Mash-up. I just heard "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock, which sampled the song "Sweet Home Alabama", and while listening to the Kid Rock song I realized it matches up to "Werewolf in London" too...

I'm thinking a "Werewolf in Alabama" mashup. I might actually be able to do this one. Whattayathink? ;)

Erm, by the way... I've seen three different people credited for "Sweet Home Alabama"... CCR, Steve Miller Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd... which is right? O_o (Heh, Wikipedia's entry on the subject refers to the Kid Rock/Werewolf in London mix, too.)

The one I used to listen to was the CCR one. I believe it's the original, or at least the most famous...

I was under the impression that Lynyrd Skynyrd did it first but I may be wrong...

I'm willing to trust Wikipedia when I searched for the song title, but I needed a confirmation, thanks :) I'm horrid when it comes to artists and their songs...

Heh heh I contribute to some musician articles on wikipedia :) I have a disturbingly large amount of musical useless facts in my head!

definitely Lynyrd Skynyrd. They wrote it in response to Neil Young's "Southern Man" and "Alabama," two songs that criticized the south for being racist.

That was what I was taught as well :)
