I'm back from Anime North! Well, I was back on Monday, but it appears that I hit the ground running and essentially neglected my computer for the past few days.
Swag from the con:
Scott Pilgrim 1-4 (I had to get my own copy, it's brilliant, and gives me a fleeting belief that Torontonians have superpowers XD)
Appleseed (the CG movie)
El-Hazard: The Magnificent World (2-disc OAV set)
The Art of Howl's Moving Castle
Robot #4 (now I need to see if I have #1...)
Megami Deluxe (to see what all the fuss is about - and apparently Newtype's out of circulation...)
and the Gantz "Ball Set" (the Gantz Ball, holding the entire series on 5 DVDs)
I also got a dirt-cheap Dokkoida?! DVD and a used copy of Psychonauts - Yay! :D
I got Christine this ulta-cute Totoro plushie pillow - it's double-sided with different expressions on each side. Really soft and cuddlable. :D
After looking back at the con, I realized that I didn't really partake in the "con" part of it at all (does that mean I did nothing but "vention"?) - all I did was work at the booth, went for lunch and dinner with my friends, and read the Confic (which was awesome - a full room and we succeeded in finishing!). I mean, I had fun and all that (I do so very much miss talking with my friends) I just feel like I haven't really done a lot in the world of anime recently, and I want to get back into that.
Christine and I watched Castle in the Sky last night - I had never seen it, and it was really good! Not "Nausicaa" good, but still awesome in terms of Miyazaki masterpieces. :)
Yay for getting paid and getting my Tax Return in the mail on the same day! I feel rich! :D

I have that book of Howl's Moving Castle! Ain't it purdy? :)
I never partake in the con part, to be frank I've tried to do stuff like go to the screening rooms and panels and most of them bored me or I felt really weird LOL Though, that said, I keep thinking of ideas for panels I'd like to *run* which is maybe just my ego talking *chuckle*
