The fishtank is pretty much done now! I'm going to leave it for a couple of weeks before taking any pictures to let the plants take root and more firmly establish itself, but I went out to the store yesterday and managed to get that price deal (considering that I only bought the tank 2 weeks ago). (This particular Big Al's - Scarborough location - is my fish store of preference now.) I then turned that store credit around on plants. I've spent a pretty penny on this tank, but the fish seem to be quite taken with the new environment and they're exploring/hiding everywhere. I've found the glass shrimp (three of them! I didn't know I had three! I found the third after I had cleared out the old tank) hanging out on the driftwood, the pineapple platy/swordtails (?) are hiding in the back, and the cardinal tetras are actually schooling. :) I unfortunately lost an otto-cat but he was having problems even before the tank move. I managed to find my green rocket shrimp as well, he's still tiny and I bet he's still hiding. :P As for all the plants, I've made a "planted tank" and put plants everywhere, I'm hoping for some Marimo ("moss balls") soon, and I put in a Java fern in a piece of driftwood and some bolbitus on a rock (which apparently will attach, how strange!) - I'm very happy with the way things are looking. :D

Christine and I saw Be Kind Rewind on Tuesday. I'm a fan of Michel Gondry's previous films (and his music videos are bizarre but enjoyable to watch) so I was expecting similar works. It's strange, but I can see the Gondry was aiming for a more publicly-accepted piece with this one, spoofing on movies and re-imagining them on shoestring budgets ("sweding", which, I would say, is one of the best parts of the movie, especially a music-video style one-shot montage which I loved). Mos Def and Jack Black play some oddball characters - Jack Black notsomuch, but Mos Def's timid character is far different than his Ford Prefect, and I thought that was actually nervousness at the onset, but that's his character. It's got a nice, touching story behind it as well. I can understand how it got mixed reviews - I felt a little strange after it was finished, but it was still an enjoyable film, and I'd recommend it. I'd also recommend the website since Jerry erases the internet and as a result, they "swede" the Internet. Very funny. :)

If I can get over the initial itchyness of it, I'm going to try to grow a beard and see how it looks. Personally, I don't like it (probably because of said itchyness), but I might as well try it to see, and I'll make a decision after that. It doesn't look bad... I think it's the "growing interim" that looks bad, though. Looks, well, like I haven't shaved. Which is the truth. XD

Anyone having trouble sending stages in SSBB? I tried sending one last night and the only person I could send it to was Kinnon. (Also, are your Smash Services enabled? Maybe they need to be enabled, similar to Metroid Prime 3's connection services...)

When I get home, I'll take pictures. It's still a bit "green"... I'm sure some "before" pictures wouldn't hurt. :P

Ha, welcome to the club. The itchiness lasts about a day or two, then you're fine. I've had mine now for over a year, with no regrets. When you grow, PICS PLZ.

Yeah, I've had some trouble with SSBB. I haven't even seen your confirmation of my friend request on it. Even with Kinnon registered, I can't send him a level either. It's weird.
