Burger King has struck a deal with The Simpsons. I saw a sign outside that says - no guff -
OOO FLAME-BROILY

This was not a pre-made sign/banner, meaning that the sign-creator must've thought it up. Genius.

Here's my schedule for November, starting with today:

I can't make UTARPA this month, 'cause I'm working the night shift that day (Nov 15). Can someone claim my Newtype USA from Cathy?

Chee-iit, there's a tentative schedule up for December already. I work the 25th/26th in the afternoon/night shift, and the morning shift on New Years' Day. Aiya. I'd better see when our family get-togethers are. (The tentative part of the schedule is most likely the hours... Paul's working on 8-hour shifts.)

If this schedule sticks, I might as well celebrate New Years at a friend's house overnight and then head out from there to work. Ai.

They've made a live-action movie of Asterix and Obelix! It was shown on IPTN News (must've been a slow news/Pope day). The trailer looked interesting - even though it was in Italian - but it's likely that I'll never see it.

I haven't told Dad about the (fake) glasses yet - I'll let him know Saturday (which will be the next day I see him, due to my work hours).

I purchased 4 tickets to see the first showing (11:30am) of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at the Paramount on Nov 15. Now Kristy tells me that her friend can't make that showing. :( I can't change the times for the ticket now, and even if I could, I have to work the night shift at IPTN, which means I have to go to the 11:30 showing, or else I'll be late for work. I'm not complaining, but they don't go to that showing, I'll be forced to sell the tickets off, and I don't like that idea. I hate scalpers...

Is there a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show somewhere in Toronto? I want to see this "Audience Participation" in full effect. (Hm, the Bloor Cinema has it, as they have for 13 years... but they start too early for me to get there in time v_v )

Yes, those are fig leaves... ^_^

;_; i'm sorry... i don't know why my History of Costume term project presentation has to be on THAT one day, but it is. at noon. ;_;

otherwise i would totally skip class. even though skipping class is hardly the Hermione thing to do... ;P stupid class.

mm.. but as far as tickets issues go:
a) if anyone manages to find people who actually want the tickets for themselves, then if you sell them at face value then it's not really scalping and there's no moral problem with it
b) i ordered 7 more tickets for the 7:20pm show... you're included in that but i dunno if you can go, but if not, my friend can probably find someone to take the ticket
c) when i ordered themn it said no refunds, of course, but it DID say "can be exchanged at theatre", whatever that means. so maybe if you pick up the tickets early enough they'd give you coupons instead or something? i dunno. coz i was thinking of maybe just exchanging the tickets for coupons and then using them next month for something like lord of the rings, but my friend told me that they often don't let you use coupons for "big" movies and shit. stupid @#*&% theatres... -_-;; but if you do exchange them instead of finding someone else, i'll still pay for the one that was mine of course, coz it's not your fault...

Thanks for your concern!

I'm hopeful that I'll find some people, if Kristy and Sheena don't come along - Sabrina has said she'd like to go ^_^

Yeah, I can't make the 7:20pm showing... boo.

Coupons? Might be an idea, and I hope they'd last a while, because I'm not a very big movie-goer...

Thanks again! *adds you to Friend List*

i hardly ever go to movies either, which was why i would try and use a coupon for lord of the rings... coz it's one of the only 3 non-anime movies i really care much about seeing this year, but they all happen to come out within 2 months of each other :P (the other one is the new TNG movie... *is a such dork*. maybe coupons would work for that one :p
