Some more links for y'all... I can't get enough of creating them! ;P
For those who saw the Transformers Movie, I was kinda surprised to see how alien the robots looked, especially since they had a lot more "fragments" than the original Generation One. Here's a link to the Lead Robot Illustrator's website, Ben Procter. It shows some really interesting drawings and sketches on the production of the movie.
Here's an interesting game similar to Pac-Man 2 on the SNES. In Death Village you don't control the character directly - you interact with the haunted house to scare the guy around to get him to the exit. It's fun but really tricky! It also looks like you can submit your own puzzles but I'm not that good... :P
Here's a couple more "Escape Room" games - Terminal House.com has three. THe first one is the bottom one (Terminal House) but it's really really difficult to solve (well, it's a timing game in it that's frustrating) but the other two are pretty straightforward. :)
Johnny Chung Lee has becme a little bit of a Wii guru as of late... he's been building different projects on the Wii using unusual methods, including a Minority Report-type interface, and a really fascinating head tracking system. Only thing is, it uses the sensor bar and Wiimote backwards in that the Wiimote sits by the TV and you move the Sensor Bar around. It's still pretty damn cool though!
And two article from the New York Times Online - One is about how far we've come in 100 years, and some predictions for the next 100 years, and an article on how most DVD buyers are sitting ut the HD wars. I'm one of them, and I'll continue to wait. I've been burned by being an early adopter in the past, so I'm not going to do that again. The only HD I'd go with right now is Cable or Satellite TV, since that won't be subject to formats. (And the Upconverting DVD Player I bought shortly after getting my TV works brilliantly!)
Finally, courtesy of
jonesybunny (which she got from
hackrabbit, yes, from a month or so ago), here's a collection of Japanese Fanta adverts. It makes more sense when you understand the themes and culture a little bit. FANTA!
