Anotehr three-day-update. hoo boy... at least this one is shorter.
Thursday was a complete bum-out day. I had seen Monsters, Inc the night before and I watched it again with the Director's Commentary audio track - I learned many things about Pixar's way of life and work, as well as some nifty technical stuff about the movie.
Friday was the big dance, and beforehand I went to Sabrina's and we got in the groove for the dance. Sabrina had planned to watch anime for 5 hours straight, but we ended up watching Red Dwarf, playing Puzzle Bobble, Puzzle Fighter, DDR, and watched Excel Saga (flipping back-and-forth between the god-awful English dub and the Japanese language - gotta love DVDs for that ^_^).
The dance was a great success! I got my catpaws, and we tied glowing neon bracelets around it to keep it secured - it would've stayed even without the bracelets, but they looked cool ^_^
Roupen mistook me for Piro-neko oniisan from MegaTokyo. I got a laugh from it. ^_^ (I almost looked like that - but I didn't have a full-body suit - just a dress suit.)
Those contacts... ergh. The cats-eye contacts I will keep for one more time - when someone manages to get a camera to snap some piccies of me in the full cat costume. ^_^
In any case, I think I overexerted myself - once I hit the bed I was out for a good 10 hours. THe highlight of my night was winning a pair of tickets to an Asian Culture gallery next weekend due to me doing the YATTA dance over an extendamix of said song. ^_^ Give me YATTA anyday and I'll happy bounce along to it :P
Today, I worked. Not much more to say there.
Oh, sad news - Bender has passed away. For those of you who don't know who Bender was, he was the last surviving Danio fish that I have had since I started my fishtank about 10 years ago. He managed to survive through 2 moves, and the 2nd one caused his spine to bend awkwardly, causing me to name him as such. It appears taht he had internal bleeding, poor thing :( This evening, I returned home to discover that the fish I noticed was bloated (his scaled looked like someone rubbed him the wrong way) has also passed away. My guess was that he had Dropsy. I think I might need some General Antibiotics in my fishtank, in case something else turns up. I've never gotten Ich, thankfully. That'd take out the whole tank. :(
My parents were out at a party tonight, so I played a trick on them. Mom knew about the fake glasses, so I wore them for when Dad came home and made up a story that I need them to see the computer screen. He completely believes me. When I told them that the glasses felt unusual, he said that it was because I was walking around - and not using them for their proper purpose (which was looking at the computer screen). I can't believe that I've tricked my father, the trickster. ^_^
