I can't believe what Batman comes up with. I'm talking about the 1960's Batman Live-Action TV Series, or what I believe was the movie. I turned on American Movie Classics (AMC) this morning and saw Batman, hanging off a rope ladder on a helicopter, being attacked on the leg by a shark.

Robin was in the helicopter, and brought down Oceanic Repellant Batspray: Shark Repellant.

I kid you not. Batspray.

That's how Batman got rid of the shark on his leg. Nevermind that they were about 50 feet above the "sea" or that the shark, at some point, was holding onto the ladder with its teeth.

Apparently kicking (WHAM!) and punching (BOFFO!) isn't enough to get rid of some enemies...

That is, no joke, one of my favourite movies of all time. The shark scene might be the best bit, although the swashbuckling pirate battle on the penguin submarine is also in the running. And the terrible science behind the 'dehydration ray'. There is so much to love.

The penguin submarine - best part of the show!!

The linguistic mashup of the diplomats at the end was also quite classic.

That movie is a classic. Nothing beats Batman's line about drunkards being people too, who may be salvaged someday.

Too bad Steve Irwin didn't have any of that Manta-Ray Repellent.

...

What, too soon?
