Okay, Rock Band is starting to look awesome. :D Yes, it's Guitar Hero and Karaoke Revolution combined, but I can only imagine that the game will be a lot of fun with everyone on their individual instruments.

Drums! WOOOOOO

Impressions:

1) Dang, that screen is *cluttered* when you first look at it. I'm sure it's better IRL, but the vocal part looks especially squished at the top.

2) I like how the represent a kick petal hit as a bar across the screen, for whatever reason I like that better than Drummania's additional "tick", that's exactly like all the other hits you need to do.

It is looking really hot overall though - kudos to Harmonix, once again.

LoL... Need to get Wide screen TV... Only problem is... Everyone is going to buy different versions... Will the Drums work with all versions? Will the Guitars?

If you mean different editions of the game, then yeah. From what I understand, the game itself is the same no matter what controllers you get with it (if they do multiple package deals, instead of just one complete set). It has campaigns for each "main" instrument (bass doesn't count, lol), plus a co-op campaign that you either need multiple or ALL instruments for.

Interestingly enough the current 360 GH2 controller will work with this (hence the players using it in the video), which is a plus (only need to buy 1 guitar).

Well... What I mean, is if you buy 1 drum set, can you use it with every edition of the game? Cause I know some people have 360s, and others have other systems :p

Ah, that *is* what you meant. I thought it was that, but since controllers have never worked across systems I figured it must've been something else. There was something on the Wikipedia page for Rock Band about PS3 and 360 controllers not being compatible, but I can't seem to find it anymore...so we might be in luck!

It would be smart if they made universal connectors for the instruments, because I would shudder at the thought of the three of us all owning the same instuments for all our different consoles. XD
