My sister is having financial difficulties out in Halifax, because the bank turned down her loan request - because of above rule. :(

i am well versed in the stupid fucking rules of school loans and grants in america. she is going to have to prove that your parents don't pay for anything (which is much harder than it sounds... even with all the proper paperwork they'll still say they don't have enough proof) OR get married, OR join the military, OR go to court and get legal emancipation.
