I was planning to sit down and do some work on my Music Video this evening... but, well, I'm just not feeling it, y'know? Maybe if I get through posting these links here I'll feel more at-ease...
Kotaku linked to a "magazine" called The Escapist, which is a weekly website that talks about gaming-related articles. They mentioned it because of the article trying to detail the late Gunpei Yokoi,, and I went into some back issues and noticed that they talked about the winners of the Be a Guitar Hero contest for the first Guitar Hero game. The articles are well-written, and I'm fascinated with the simplicity of the magazine-style design of the website. Take a look through the Past Issues and see if anything catches your fancy - I'm certain something will. :)
A quick message to any Counter-Strike players: There's now a Faulty Towers map mod. *laughs* I love it. :D
A news article that I found on the Wii a day or so ago focused on a "Dust Art" artist, who essentially drives his Mini up and down a dusty road every day and then uses a brush to create some incredible masterpieces.
Anyone hear about the costume auction that happened a couple of days ago in the UK? It's interesting to note that people were allowed to "try on" the costumes before bidding on them. I would've bid on the Monty Python helmet (from Monty Python and the Holy Grail), myself...
I had found that Inspector Gadget was on TV a little while ago, and aside from the fact that I was suprised to find that it was still on-air, I came across a number of interesting little factoids. The Wikipedia entry has a lot of detail on the TV show and its numerous - and less-popular - spinoffs, but I came to two other websites - the When I Am The Evil Overlord webpage (i.e. "things not to do when I rule the world and super-spies are coming after me") and - oooh, The Face of Dr. Claw Revealed! Turns out they made a figurine of the gravely-voiced arch-villan. The link doesn't go right to the face and it has a little backstory, but I have to give DiC a little Bravo for covering his face while it was still in the packaging. Smart Move. :P
Woah. Remember when I linked to You Don't Know Jack Online awhile back? Well, they've finally gone and made a Full-fledged YDKJ, not just a DisOrDat. And I was wondering why it took so long to load... :P
Oh yes, and some of you may want to take a look at I CAN HAS CHEESEBURGER? and some may not. But basically, it's pictures of animals with AOLspeak on it. Take a look at this one and this one for a couple of examples of the oddity that is this site. XD (Popple) Whut?
