Part 2, as I promised so long ago. I've really fallen behind! :(

Admittedly, the past few days, I've sat down in front of my computer and I've been totally sad and not wanting to update, or read, or even talk to anyone. I'm sorry! I'm hoping to play catch-up sometime soon, and I figure I might have that time next week, if not this weekend.

Someone's put together a "promo video" for the OS idolM@ster. Yes, the OS-Tans will never die. Very well done, amazing! :)

Have you heard of the Doomsday Clock? It's a non-functional clock that, based on world events, will have its minute hand adjusted - effectively, when the clock strikes midnight (it's currently 5 minutes to midnight) we'll be in a nuclear war. The closest it's ever been was back in 1953 (2 minutes to midnight), and it was pretty close again in 1984. We're getting close again, now...

Here's an article on a new parking garage in New York's Chinatown that uses a series of robots to park more cars into spaces using an elevator-type system. It's obviously a bit slower in getting your car back, and there was a pair of incidents with a similar company that caused some problems (read the article for them, one strikes my funny bone in a horrible, horrible way), but I like the innovation.

Speaking of innovation, a biorefinery has been created, that apparently can produce up to 90% more energy than it uses by converting everyday garbage into energy. Maybe we won't have the garbage problem in 500-1000 years like Futurama or Idiocracy would lead up to believe...

A long time ago, I mentioned The Amazing Screw-On Head. Well, I went looking for stuff on it recently and discovered you can still see the entire video on Google Video. If you haven't seen it and liked Hellboy, check it out! You'll like it, I'm sure. :)

I saw this piece on Discovery Channel with Christine... oh, like 3 or 4 months ago, and we both thought it was really cool. It's a piece of art, of a chair that falls apart, then reassembles itself. What I found particularily interesting was the code - if it realizes that it's picked up the back legs first before picking up the back of the chair, the code reads "D'oh!" and drops the back legs. There's a video of it in action on that page.

There's a website dedicated to the Doctor Who Scarf. Honestly, I'm not surprised... though, I was surprised to find that there is a website dedicated to Cockney Rhyming Slang. (I found that site while trying to figure out what the Brits were saying in Beerfest.

I hadn't seen A Scanner Darkly until seeing it at work - it's fascinating to watch the animation. One of my favorite scenes, as morbid as it is, is Freck's Suicide.

A music video featuring Ms. Pac Man, from a group called The Go! Team. Only in NY would you see footage of people not even batting an eyelash as a giant Ms. Pac Man runs down the busy streets...

Like The Office? Like Miis? How about The Office done in Miis?

Speaking of Miis, there's a Beatles-themed one here. Christine has her own renditions of the Beatles on our Wii, too. :)

Thos of you who can't get enough of Phoenix Wright might be interested in knowing that there's a flash-based demo of Gyakuten Saiban 4 on the web. Click it just like you would with a stylus. :D

Speaking of DS demos on the web, there's a demo of a game out there called Professor Layton. It shows off the unique animation style as well as a puzzle (of which is kinda difficult unless you've seen the puzzle before). Check it out!

Hm... I thought I had more links... well, this is enough for now. Ciao! ;P
