Okay, well, I'm a day late - so sue me. :P I'm busy. *sigh* Almost too busy.

But anyways, here's my thoughts on the Oscars this weekend.

- Congratulations to Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit for winning Best Animated Film! It was well-deserved. :D

- Ben Stiller in the green unitard, "Blowing Spielberg's mind" (with the reaction shot of Spielberg responding "no, it's not") was very funny. Only Stiller could've done something like that on such a prestigious night.

- Stop with the montages already! They could've cut them out and saved about 15 minutes of time. (Much like how they cut out 3-4 hours of lesser-known Oscars by holding them a night prior to what we see on TV.)

- I also was not too fond of the musical numbers. Dolly Parton looks like she could snap at the waist if the wind blows the wrong way. :\ And the "cover" of "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" was pretty bad, especially with the choregraphy. The song as depicted in the movie "Hustle and Flow" is much better and sounded richer.

- March of the Penguins getting the Best Documentary Feature - awesome! :)

- I'm curious to see all the animated short films that were nominated for Oscars this year... Ah, it appears Atom Films has them there...

And finally, Jon Stewart was a blast as the host! I hope that he's brought back next year.

Jon back next year? Nah, his humour went over the heads of the audience - too politically incorrect, they didn't recognize it. ^_^
