I actually didn't update my LiveJournal yesterday... how strange.

It's probably related to the fact that my brain is kept on that hand-held I carry around, and its batteries were dead.

Anyways, I had a bit of a nervous worry yesterday about my position - am I doing enough?

Paul said there should be no worries. Considering that the higher-ups have never seen us for a long time, he says that come December when they run an evaluation, I shouldn't be worried. I sure hope so.

Nyan~!

I saw this (Italian-language) Nature show yesterday about Grasshopper Mice. They were so cute! They looked like short-hair hamsters with tails. ^_^ - I wondered why they were called Grasshopper mice, and well, I found out - they eat insects. O_o

The best part was when they were calling each other - they managed to get a full-frame camera shot of the mouse opening it mouth in a little "O" and letting out a high-pitched Squeeeeeee :P

We're using another piece of software now. Aside from the Time Delay and the Programming Panel, now we have a List Manager that replaces both and gives us timecodes so we know when the shows are ending. Kinda like radio-shows programs, but with Video. We can even program the thing to record when we're not there - but the problem is that TelePace still doesn't have strict scheduled times, so setting the machine to record at strict times is just asking for trouble. O_o

Ah well. I'm going to be there for a long while (apparently they're working through some paperwork with the city that has to be approved before they can build), so I highly doubt I'll be out of that little Closet at Lakeshore by Spring. O_o

hahaha grasshopper mice ;) this documentary sounds a lot like the one on capibara's i've seen on discovery a while ago :D capibara's are the best, almost blind, nearly deaf, but when they call eachothr or warn eachother they all start running like mad :) it's so cute :) They're like big guinneapigs with long legs, really big guinneapigs ;))
