Has anyone else seen the cashier-less checkouts at the Loblaws recently?
I happened to pass by it - and I think it was brand-new, because there were cashiers helping them with the system.
It looks like you scan the item yourself - all items showing up on a monitor, then feed it a card (debit, credit) or cash (like a regular banking machine, only reverse) and it'll spit out the change.
Unless this is monitored by security, I can predict that theft will happen a bit more with that checkout...
