Recently I've seen a lot of people suntanning in front of the Telesat building. The place is nothing more than about 30 satellite dishes.
However, I've noticed that no-one sees the CAUTION sign warning them of high-frequency microwaves... They're doing more than baking in front of Telesat... >_<
I've had this idea for years but never acted on it. Either it's because of the cost or my lack of motivation...
I've noticed a lot of drivers on the road that have no regard for traffic signs, particularly U-Turn signs. It's almost as if the "No U-Turn" sign is an invitation to make the illegal turn.
Here's what I wanted to do: Make a stack of large (6" round) stickers that say "I IGNORE" followed by a visual image of signs like "No U-Turn" or a Red Light. I would go to the location, and every time a car made the illegal turn (or ran a red light, etc), I would slap a stlcker on their car as they pass by me.
Alternatively, I would use a Digital Still Camera and snap 2 or 3 shots of the car as it turns, then turn the images over to the authorities at the end of the day, a-la photo radar.
I'd gladly do that as a service to the police department for a couple of hours a week - as long as I was recompensated for any costs ^_^
The reason I don't act on this is because I can imagine running into a road-rager who'd gladly come after me with a tire iron. @_@
I'm gonna relax tomorrow - my throat still hurts a bit and I want to be well-rested for the con ^_^
...Aargh, remember the computer tech thing I did awhile back? It's creeping up on me again, and I have to go to their place to "fix" whatever the heck's wrong. (The last time they called me, their mouse wasn't working - turned out it was an incompatible keyboard.)
*sighs* I feel funny, and I dunno what it is. Turning Japanese perhaps?
