I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and to those who celebrated a different holiday, I hope that yours was just as good!
This morning, I finally got to sleep in. A lot of people called me (Mom, Ysa & Chris, Sabrina, Father Tom - tho on a different note) during the morning hours and over my breakfast eggs, I opened Nathalie's gift. *squee* an ulta-soft teddy bear (wearing an itty-bitty scarf!) and the Dutch candy liquorice "drop"! :D I haven't tried the candies yet, but the bear is on my bedside table. :D
This year's Christmas was over at my sister's place. She had the place all set up ( a bit unlike mine) and was making all the foods - she had everything. Turkey, Parsnips and Carrots, Peas, Mashed Potatoes... It was huge. And Seanna got a Dinner Table for an early Christmas gift, and it was awesome. :) Man, I'm totally stuffed. I had brought dessert (even the name makes mouths water - Honey Crumble Apple Pie) and we had eaten so much dinner that dessert was much later afterwards. :P
My parents brought Jake over! :D Awww! He was so happy to see everyone. :D
Someone (not sure whom, it was a Secret Santa thing) got the the latest They Might Be Giants album, The Spine for me. :D And while I have yet to listen to anything past the first track (Experimental Film), even though I can't explain it, I already know how great it is. ;)
Most of the Christmas gifts I got from my family were condo-related, unsurprisingly. :D Grandma got me Corningware. o.o Awesome! I can finally cook in the oven! My parents got me a Crock-Pot, so I can make stew now! :D They also got me Gladware (haha! I never did get around to getting some of those), a really nice soft shirt, a pair of gloves that appear to take batteries for warming the hands (!), a set of neat glass mugs, ramekins (yay!), a "Murphy's Law" calendar (oh, I'll love this... I love these laws), and one more thing - a gift certificate towards repairing my Oh! My Goddess framed print. *muchlove*
Seanna got me a Guiness Book of Records 2005 (I always get the coffee-table books from her, now I need a coffee table! :P), and this really big board game of "The Lord of the Rings" (not affiliated with the movie). It looks complex, but at the same time, it really seems to keep the majority of the main storylines in attempting to ditch the ring in Mount Doom, while Sauron attempts to corrupt the Hobbits. I must get some people together to play it! :D
My parents were very inventive this year. They made a Calendar of 12 pictures of Jake for us! The pictures are incredible! :D Jake is such a nut. And he's so photogenic - he could easily be in those "Golden Retrievers" calendar books. They also got me an Ikea Gift Certificate. (I may finally get around to buying those bookshelves, display cabinets, and - oh, maybe a coffee table, too! :P)
Seanna absolutely adored the Seinfeld DVD Box Set (she actually screamed "Get Out!" when she opened it XD), Mom loved the Alton Brown cookbook (she loves reading, and there's a lot of reading as well as recipes and science), and Dad had been going on about the CSI Board Game, and was very pleased to see that. :D
Dad, unfortunately, was feeling ill from a cold or fluish thing, so he left early after dinner, and he really didn't want to, though. But we all felt it was for the best that he should rest - when I got Mom home about an hour or so later, he was already fast asleep. I hope he feels better soon.
I have to head off to work to check on the systems, but I hope everyone had a wonderful day today and are still surviving after feasting on too much turkey ;P

Wait I forgot all about jake. I kind of thought he'd move with you but I just remembered he'd probably be alone too much then wouldn't he?
I know that lotr game, it's fun ;) I just hate the fact there's a 5th hobbit added called "fatty". It's a really hard game, but it's nice ;)
Glad you had fun today! And I hope your father will be well soon!

I had never heard of this Lord of the Rings boardgame - that's awesome that you do! :D (Yeah, I noticed "Fatty", too.)
