The Mix, a local Radio station, has a "Don't Drink and Drive" campaign on right now, and they read the text from this somber poem.

Much like that Tim McGraw song, it made me cry hard while I was in the car. it hits hard, even worse than the typical "Don't Drink and Drive" ads on the radio that you hear through the remainder of the year.

The Salvation Army also has a commercial on TV called "The Present" (there's a link on the homepage to the video) that also tugs on the heartstrings.

Please don't drink and drive this holiday season, and if you have a few dollars to spare to a local charity, please do so.

Thank you.

The worst Drink and Drive ad I've ever seen is the commercial where a cop pulls over a bunch of teenagers driving along the highway. And in between scenes of the kids panicking and telling each other to calm down they cut to a black screen with text on it. It tells you that every year thousands of drunk drivers kill people, then it gives a woman's name and tells you that she is one of these drivers. At the very moment you stop to think "but wait, the kid driving that car is a boy..??" another car comes out of nowhere and runs down the cop (who was just walking up alongside the car of teens) and you hear the girls in the car screaming, the other car just drives away.

First time I saw it I was in shock for a good five minutes or so. REALLY threw me off and made me feel sick to my stomach ;_; so hard to watch, even if it is just a commercial.
