Surprises

I'm surprised by all the little things in life.

Things like how Duran Duran's The Reflex made it onto Dance Dance Revolution, or that Green Day made a Rock Opera (love their latest single, Boulevard of Broken Dreams).

I'm surprised when someone runs the dishwasher at work (which is a rarity).

I'm surprised when a co-worker (er, sorry, associate) calls to ask for help in something not related to my job, but something I can help with (computers, of course), as they just did.

I'm surprised that I won money in the Princess Margaret Hospital Cash & Cars Lottery. (It wasn't much, but it helps. :P)

Today, I saw sparrows. Just your regular, run-of-the-day sparrows. But I surprised to see any birds today, especially after that surprising (ha!) snowfall from a few days ago, even though it's all gone already.
