Things have been quiet this week. I think. Um...

Geez. I can't seem to remember what I've been doing after work. O.o >,<

I remember having to do a bit of legwork to get some CDs back to Kinnon (I also delivered his gift - I'm glad you're enjoying it, K!), and I took all the time after work yesterday to get Shanen's computer working again (which was tricky... I wish we didn't have to slate it, but hey, she got all her important files off the computer, and a clean slate's always a good way to clean up the system - it was so much faster with nothing on it. :P)

"As long as there isn't anything going to screw up the system... aside from Windows..." (aye, there's the rub.)

Chris, you should talk with Shanen - she was considering moving to Linux. XD

I keep running into my neighbour, Marg. She's so sweet. :) She's been working on the Fashion show in the Bay Centre, if I remember correctly. When she gets in late, she lets the cats wander the hall - on Wednesday evening I saw her cats before I saw her, as they were over my the elevator, when I stepped out. XD Last night they were at her door (my front door, too) - and since they're so used to her son living there, they always want to get in and check out the place - the last time Squeakers got in, she just froze as if "WTF, mate?" as she didn't recognize the place at all. XD I gave Marg some of my Banana Bread in return for the Apple Crisp she had given me about a week ago. :)

So, I'm getting all technology-jealous of my parents who are planning to buy a new computer, since I don't know them to use it for more than websurfing, word-processing and maybe some spreadsheets or something. Dad says he needs the extra power for his work, but he has a laptop that's already more powerful than my computer. *shrugs* In any case, I found a place out at Keele + St. Clair ("PC Shop Computers" I think) that has a basic 2.4Ghz Athlon system for $289. That's a pretty good price, considering that I bought mine (0.9Ghz Duron) 4 years ago for just over $900. *blink*

(But it's not like I use mine for anything majorly processor-intensive... most of the extra power would go towards SETI@Home anyhow...)

Aw cool! Check out this Appleseed Vinyl Record. :D

Oh, one more thing - I saw this freaky "obaka" game at an arcade Kinnon and I visited lately, called Gahaha. Sadly it was broken, but the cabinet caught my attention as it appeared to be a silly control system where you grabbed a pair of plastic eyeballs and spun them in order to play minigames like Bishi-Bashi. (There was also an English version of Bishi-Bashi at that arcade... that'd be more fun, I bet with the screaming announcer. "Build a Bridge with Coloured Magical Bricks!" XD)

A locomotive individual and a knuckle in a fight and I was hiding in the bushes but I couldn't stand the light and he was highly indisputible the leader of the gang like a bullet in the freezer... bang bang
