Well, the Banana Bread is in the oven, merrily baking away... Saku, that recipe was so easy to make (even without a hand mixer - I used a whisk the whole time), I'm tempted to let more bananas overripen! But first, we should see how this one tastes...

Once that's done baking, I've gotta stop over to the IGA and pick up some food stuffs. More of the stuff I'd like (including - mmm - Crab's legs!) and some food for Thanksgiving Day. ^_^

I stopped by "The Great Canadian Superstore" on the way home and was tempted to buy some towels and the like. They were really soft and felt good, but I just want to make sure I'm getting a good price on them. (And it's on the way home from work, so it's not like I have to make a detour to get them.)

And a hand-mixer and a hand-chopper for $9 apiece! I don't think I'll be able to find a better price for those.

Tonight's experiment is what Roupen described as "Crunchy Vodka". A co-worker at the Sultan's Tent had canned apple slices in vodka for a full year. The Slices were crunhy and potent, and the vodka was apple-flavoured. I'm going to give it a try and see what happens. I can use the Storage Area to set-and-forget.

And since I've lost the light in the Living Room, I can't exactly move things around. But I'll do that tomorrow as I'm planning to chill for the day :D

(Anyone care to come over tomorrow evening? Or invite me? :P)

Ooh, this Bonus Stage animated cartoon looks cool. :) (Click "Ep Guide" for the episodes.)

If the towels are nice and you like them, then you're safe. If they cost more than $10 each, make sure you're not at Sears. :D

The cheap chopper and hand-mixer might look nice now, but check the blades on the chopper and the beaters on the mixer. If they look cheap and chintzy, chances are... well... they ARE. If you're only gonna use 'em sporadically, that's fine. But if you're gonna use them frequently, bite the bullet and buy nice ones. Otherwise, these things are almost guaranteed to break at the Worst Possible Moment.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to check that out. :) Don't want metal fragments in any food, even if I'm making an iron-bread cake.

(Just woke up, pardon my nonsensicalness)
