The thunderstorm succeeded in soaking me this morning - even with an umbrella. What I wore this morning - a t-shirt and shorts - made the trip cold and wet, but was comfortable for the trip home. This weather is wacky... I only hope it doesn't rain on my Yorokonde outfit tomorrow.
We have this AWESOME fog outside right now. I can't even see to the street intersection - less than 500m (1/3 mile) away! It smells like Laser Quest has gone outdoors. ^_^
Have you ever noticed that restaurants have a problem with students? Here's my reasoning: The server believes that that the students have very little money and won't leave a large tip (or, he's been burned several times and they don't give him a tip at all), so he doesn't tend to the students much (or avoids them altogether). And because of the server's previous experience, the students get treated like crud - and the student leaves a bad tip in response. It's a terrible circle.
A server story I heard was that the customer put 5 $10 bills on the table, and told the server "This is your tlp- if you get something wrong on my order or I think you've taken too long, I take one bill away." Apparently the server got $30, which was more than the guy typically gave out.
A correction - it was "Reliable" Halibut & Chips. I thought Reliable could only be used for machinery ^_^
I feel sick- I deleted the 6-hour delay that we've been using for the past 2 days. It now has to build-up for 6 hours before it can work again. *gulp* My hope is that it works flawlessly overnight and doesn't crash - otherwise it may be my job on the line. I shouldn't tamper with what works - especially when it takes 6 hours to begin again v_v
I was actually trying to fix something else I goofed on... I missed 4 minutes of recording, and realized the delay has it recorded. I managed to retrieve the file, but had I not missed the minutes in the first place, there would be zero problems right now. v_v At least there's only one "sorry, I goofed" note for tomorrow morning instead of two.
I haven't head anything from anyone regarding the Dinner or overnight. I hope that at least one of the two things will be happening. There's always the Dance...
