Today has been a productive day for me working at home. Kinda.
See, I've been prepping the condo for the painting that I'm hoping to do with my Mom on Wednesday night. I went and bought the paint, but before I did that, I was sanding and poly-filla-ing the cracks on the walls. (I still need to do more sanding...)
Anyhow, the bathroom door sticks. I discovered that the paint on the inside of the bathroom peels rather well, which means they painted latex at some point or another (and latex washes off with water). So I'm trying to contain the latex peel by removing small chunks of the paint off the wall and then sanding it.
3 hours later, I've effectively peeled the majority of the paint off the wall. o.o It just kept getting larger and larger, and I'm at the point now where I can actually see where the latex was seperated from the wall, so I've removed all of that.
I just need to sand the edges of that a bit now before I prime it. And I managed to get a kitchen/bathroom-specific primer and paint to prevent it from peeling again (Thanks, Dave, for asking your Dad about that!). I've picked a nice soft yellow colour to complement the rest of the room and the yellowish vanity lights. (This bathroom was dark blue before it was white, and even before it was blue, it was a bright yellow, and what I'm currently seeing is a dull peach...)
Well, I'm gonna be priming tomorrow morning. And then painting Wednesday afternoon! I'd better start moving things away from the walls...
EDIT: If I painted a Lunar Lander on the walls right now, it'd look like I've turned the bathroom into a video game...
The computer is still freezing every once in a while, and I have the side cover off of it, so I wonder if it's not heat anymore...

peeling is pretty much standard in bathrooms, the trick is to sand like MAD and use the right primer, coats at least, Dave's Dad is right and mine would say the same. I know this from my own experience when my mother hired some idiots to paint our house and 2 months later we had mad peeling. Not to mention that they got paint on the doorknobs and yeah did a shitty job. '-_-
I'm sure you know how to do a good job right? Sand like mad, even the walls in the living room...paint 2 coats of primer and 2 coats at least of paint I know it takes awhile but man it looks and lasts. :-)
:-P good thing you don't have a lot of furniture to move! hehehehehheh!
cooooooookiesss!

I did the priming this morning for the bathroom - it looks pretty good, and I know it'll take some time to get the coats on properly, but I'll be pleased when it's completed. It'll definitely look fresh, which was the plan. :)
Furniture? Well, I've moved the stuff in the Living Room... the bedroom's gonna be interesting, what with the bed and the boxes. :P
Oh yeah, I forgot to get paint for the closets! I should get that done before I start really loading them full of stuff...
