Woah, LJ updated their "Update Journal" script again...
Whoops! I forgot to credit how to get the User Kitties. Go here and pick your icon! (There's a lot more than kitties, too! Thanks to
ginny_t for the link.)
Last night I did more shopping (yay for $1 sale! Lotsa pasta and soups and other things I didn't get the first time!), then hopped on the subway (literally a 10-minute walk!) to go see Criminal last night. I had a pair of free passes to see the premiere, and as I was having trouble finding someone to go with, I wanted to give the passes to someone so they could go see it with someone and not waste the ticket. April at work was going with a friend, on another pair of passes, so I just decided to meet up with them. As I got to the place (nearly missing the start), an old man was asking people if they had an extra pass to see Criminal. So, I gave him my extra pass! I'm glad it was able to be put to good use. I didn't want to waste the extra ticket.
Criminal is a movie about conmen and their attempt to rip off a large sum of money with a counterfeit Confederation Note. I don't want to say much about the plot because it's just fun to listen intently and discover things as they go. Everything is so entwined, the movie was brilliant. It's definitely a good movie to see the actual plot play out, the writing and the dialogue are incredible. John C. Reilly and Diego Luna are the leads, and Diego actually steals the show several times. I think this will launch his career. :) From start to finish, it's a brilliant piece of moviemaking.
I went home and set the computer on the desk. That was the "big thing" for me yesterday, in terms of setting up the condo. :P
Pictures for the condo will come once I get the pictures developed and get them scanned! Which I hope is soon. I may also just do it at work early one day. :P (Hm, I should've remembered to grab the scanner from ya, Em...)
This link to Cooking for Engineers is mainly so I remember it later - but if you're curious, check out how the recipes are laid out. It's awesome!
The Hairy Tarantula is holding anime nights now. How interesting...
And cool! Kill Dr. Lucky is available for online play now!
