It appears that the Muppets have started shooting their rendition of The Wizard of Oz in Vancouver. Rumour has it that Quentin Tarantino, Ashanti, and Queen Latifah are all starring in the movie (Quentin stars as himself).
It's also been noted that apparently this version will be closer to the original story than the 1939 film. (Is that how old that movie is, now? O.o) Mis Piggy is reported to be playing a double role of both Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West.
In other Muppet-related news, Chaos posted that Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant, Beaker beat out all other comers (including Dr. Who, Mr. Spock, Dana Scully, and Dr. Strangelove) for Britain's Top Screen Scientists. Read Kermit's statement here. :)
EDIT: And one more thing Muppet-related: Here's the Henson Digital Performance Studio (HDPS) website that I saw at E3. They mentioned that they were considering a 3D version of Muppet Babies with this technology.
