It was a mixed-up day yesterday, for the most part. Some good, some bad.
I worked yesterday, and it's still pretty quiet. The station just runs, but it takes a lot more work to calculate out the programming and all that because of the manual entry. No worries, tho.
I called Future Shop and asked them to hold the Receiver that I had looked at on Wednesday - it seemed to be a nice deal. However, when I got there, the receiver had already been sold to another person. Geez. Apparently the guy had called too, and asked all the same questions, but didn't put it on hold. >_< Ah well, they got it sold. I guess that was the point, and well, I haven't spent that money, so I'll probably get something else somewhere else. :P
(And as Dave pointed out, his father bought it. But it appears Future Shop was lying to me about putting it on hold... who knows. Doesn't matter.)
Anyhow, I met up with Kinnon yesterday and also travelled up to Pacific Mall for the second day in a row. (Someone want to go with me today and make it 3? ;P) I looked over the electronics and played another round of Guitar Freaks while Kinnon had a game or two of Soul Calibur. ^_^
Got dinner at a nice Japanese restaurant following that. I've passed Hooraiya a lot in the past (same with Kinnon), but never went. The food was good, and Kinnon was fixated on the "spiral chicken". XD
Kinnon showed me a few music videos, one of which I recognized as being in Guitar Freaks, even though it was a song from the early 90's - "Believe in Love"! XD
Anybody want salmon- or grey-coloured paint? It appears we're throwing out a bit of the stuff... :P
Time to do some work. *rolls up non-existant sleeves*
Oh, two game related things: If anyone knows of a place where I can get Tales of Symphonia and get the free artbook with it, lemme know, as I'm searching now 'cause I wasn't aware of the deal. :\ And if anyone sees Mario Party 5 for less than $50, snap it up and I'll buy it from you, as it doesn't even seem to go below $60 used out here... (honestly, it's the only used game that seems to be priced incorrectly.)
EDIT: I found Tales of Symphonia with the Art Book at Future Shop! I had to ask for the Art Book - it wasn't displayed anywhere, and it was in a back room. Sneaky! :D (EBGames only had enough Art Books to cover their preorders, but they pointed me towards Future Shop, so thanks EB!)
Rain, rain go away...
PANTS!! *chuckle*

Oh, such rain we had... it was delicious!
"Rain rain rain, splash splash splash, fun fun fun, rain rain rain!" (followed by someone imitating a dj-scratching noise)
;)
