The rain and cloud cover outside right now is cool... it's orange, and it's lit up the sky. That's not tornado warning weather, is it?
Trillian users, there's a new patch available for Yahoo (Patch I).
I've been wanting to se Cube for quite some time. A few weeks ago I visited a friend of mine who has a really impressive Home Theatre system as well as a huge stack of movie DVDs. I borrowed Cube from him, and I finally got around to watching it tonight.
I had heard of the movie a long time ago (it was released in '97) and I believe it debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival. I'm not sure. But it's a wholly Canadian product. And the entire movie was filmed on one set.
The movie is a series of loose ends from the start to the end, but you don't really care - it's the people that make this movie. And the Cube itself is a rather impressive actor.
Imagine waking up in a six-sided room, with a door on every side (including the floor and ceiling). Moving from one of the cubes to another one results in you entereing another cube, usually in a different colour. Why are you there? What is the purpose of these cubes? What's with all these traps?
Well, I was not expecting the movie to be like that. I knew it was a kind-of thriller, kind-of thinking type of movie, but well, it was violent. O.O I really enjoyed it, tho. It was not a typical movie, it was a thinking puzzle. And one hold-your-breath scene. Highly recommended for something a little out of the ordinary.
Has anyone tried Tumiki Fighters yet? It's a side-scroller shooter where defeated enemies can stick to your ship and provide additional firepower. I can't get past level 3. :P
