Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is pretty damn cool. And dark. Aside from the tone of the movie, it was also visually dark. It was great to see that movie in the theatres on an IMAX screen. Anyone been to an IMAX theatre before? They have this 10-minute introduction to the entire system, which is rather impressive in itself.
But yeah, the little wizards are getting older and are definitely more mature. This movie was not as lighthearted as the first two were, and thankfully they didn't dwell on the Dursley's (as I'm not too fond of that part of the movie anyways).
I also noticed that practically every scene had some form of computer-generated imagery on it. Well, it is a story about wizards and magic, so the special effects were very prominent, but not obtrusive.
And I want a clock like their clock tower. And a Marauder's Map. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.
I should go back and re-read the Harry Potter books - I want to see how much they deviated from the novels - although they really haven't!
Following that, I visited Kinnon at AnimeXtreme (pixked up the last two DVDs of Chobits, and whoops, forgot to grab Abenobashi 4), then took a walk along Queen, while waiting for a streetcar to pass by so I could get to Em's.
I walked from Spadina, and had just missed two streetcars. I got to CityTV, and decided to get a drink, and when I came back out of the store, another bus had passed. So I began walking.
Another streetcar didn't appear until I had walked to the DVP. O.o That's about 2 miles, according to MapQuest. Yeesh.
So I get to Emily's, her Mom arrives and we head to her friend's place to drop off some stuff (and her Mom), return, and after a quick jaunt for food, we go drinking. Yeah. Me, drinking. :P I'm such a friggin' lightweight - I have two Gin & Kool-Aids before we leave (not even two shots worth) and I can feel I'm slightly buzzed by the time we leave. XD (My eyes don't move as fast as they should and I lose balance that way.)
I had a good time tho, even bar-hopping across the street at a point - aside from the drunken tattoo-boy who wanted to pick a fight after leaving the Kiwi. Thank God for Emily, she kept us back (good move) and not a punch was thrown. It tensed me up damn well tho. :\ But it was good.
Passed out on the bed-couch-thing around 2:30, knowing full well I had to get up in 4 hours. :\
So, here I am at work. I might take a nap later. :P (If people weren't here, dammit >_<) Looks like I'll be going for dinner with some of Mom's friends, too. Yup, the excitement never ends for me. :P

Actually, I think they did a wonderful job on him. He's got this slightly-insane look to him, as well as these curious runes all over his body. (were those ever explained in the books, or are those artistic license in the movie?)
