It's way too easy to spend money. I just went in with my parents on the Lottery I mentioned in my last post and that's $250, BAM. In less than a 5 minute call.

So, I picked up the latest Newtype. The DVD on it has the first episode of Azumanga Daioh (sub and dub) and the first episode of Comic Party (dub only). I've decided not to watch Azumanga Daioh as I know that Ysa wants to see it too. However, the opening song ("Soramimi Cake") has been translated as "Fancy Hearing Cake". *blinku*

Regarding Comic Party, the girl from Karamitei - whatever her name is, she carries a Halisen - her voice definitely doesn't match her looks. And it seems so ...newbie based, but then again I'm looking at the beginning, where we have a clueless guy at a comic doujin con. O.o (And the same person uses the Charlie Brown-ism "Good Grief".) Comic Party just hasn't grabbed my attention. But the pack-in cards apparently are brilliant. (They're parodies of other anime shows, and the first disc/box comes with parody .hack//SIGN cards labelled .comic//PARTY.)

The Invader Zim trailer's on the disc, as well as the Puni Puni Poemy trailer, which is downright Silly. Well, at least Gunsmith Cats is getting the "Essential Anime" treatment soon. :)

Comic Party is actually fairly cute. The first episode is nothing but setup to the silliness. I've seen all but two episodes of it subbed.

I'd much prefer to see the sub version. Too bad the Newtype DVD only came with the dub. @_@
