Socializing is fun. XD
On Friday, I went over to Chris and Ysa's to finish up the remainder of Noir with a number of people (Ginny, Emily, Jen, Doug, Vince) - the series finally picks up at around episode 20. It was fun, but I think that perhaps if they removed about 80% of the flashbacks about 7 episodes could have been cut. We really needed the locket jammed into our heads every other cut, right? Here's a couple of parodies about Noir - and they're so true. XD I have one more which is an odd description of what the series is about. (Keep in mind that Konstantin, the person describing Noir, is hentai.)
I stayed over at Chris and Ysa's that night, as we had a Gathering to attend the following day at Gary's.
We saw Pretty Cure *foams at mouth* and ROD the TV, um... and Memories. It's very cool - I liked the second film, Stink Bomb the best, and the music in that episode had my foot tapping. :)
TK got a lot of exercise those two days - he was up and about the majority of the time. ^_^
I have to be honest, I'm suddenly a bit scared about wandering Crescent Town after last night - one guy offered to sell me some Moroccan Hash (whatever the difference is, I dunno), and while I was waiting outside the subway with Emily, some drunk/high/mentally unstable person wandered over and muttered a lot of profanities(?) - I didn't understand the majority of them. I just kinda stared blankly and he wandered away (much to my relief). It doesn't mean that I'm not going back, I'm just not secure walking alone in that area.
Note to self: Although the spicy nuts I make are good with the pecans, do not eat the leftover coating at the bottom of the package. Mouth... on .... FIRE!
Last night, before I headed off to bed, I had downloaded one of the more recent episodes of South Park - which was a total anime parody. The kids bought some ninja weapons and half of the episode was letterboxed with Fist Of The North Star-like South Park kids. And there's a Japanese song in the middle of it too... I wonder what they were actually singing...
>_< I just realized it's still Sunday in most parts of the world. I keep thinking it's Monday and that the Chibi-Con is over. But it's not. :P I have to work, but at least no-one will be around. At least, I hope not.
EDIT: Hey, I think the gaskets in the toilet are fixed. My parents bought a new toilet, and it seems that it's not dripping anymore. ;) Still, I didn't install the new refill valve myself, but I think we don't need a new toilet. :)

I don't think I would wander around there alone after dark, even if I had a taser in one hand, and a giant can of pepper spray in the other.

If you asked my Dad the same question, it's "the bad part of town". (As is most areas of the city outside of a 1km radius of our house.)

The OAVs were cool - if you liked them you might like the TV series.

What about Anime North or CNAnime? I'm assuredly confirmed for those, as I'm working there...
