First off: Potter Puppet Pals. This was done by the guy who did those whacked-out "Animutations". Botherbotherbotherbotherbotherbotherbotherbother....

Terror Alert Level

Look behind you - a three headed Mortog!!! (wow, there must be Monkey Island fans at Neopets...)

So, Kevin Smith. :D If you follow his website, you might know a great deal of this info already.

If you've seen the DVD An Evening with Kevin Smith, it was another Q&A much like that. But with several different questions and about the same length - it ran from 8pm to midnight! (How I'm still comprehensible right now, I dunno.)

Roy Thomson Hall is wonderful - it's a nice, small, personal venue which seated I guess around 3,500 people. Kevin Smith could definitely play a larger area - the tickets all sold in 90 minutes upon being available. O.o

- He was up on current events - Kept referring back to punching people in the neck.

- The first question he was asked was "What did you think of The Hulk?" and he was joking right from the start. Of course, I'm horrid at quoting, or even paraphrasing, but he essentially said "Let's just ignore the movies I made and ask me 'What did you think of the Hulk?'"

- He asked for a wireless Mic and then almost fell through the back-panels when he tried to lean against them. XD

- I obviously didn't know much going in. I was unaware that Mewes was into hard drugs during some of the movies. O.o However, as of April, he'll have been clean for a year. *appluads Mewes* Smith's been helping him through it, as well.

- His wife was in Playboy Magazine recently, posed with a plastic (?) Superman model. It turns out that they had gone through several different ideas (such as nothing more than a graduation gown, and a Jay/Silent Bob) before settling on Lois Lane/Superman.

- He spoke of a few things about Mel's The Passion which I think upset Ysa a bit - things about how if he wanted to make $100million, he has to beat the crap out of Jesus. O.o (Those were his words. Definitely a bit harsh, but that's him.) He then went on to his version of the story, which featured Ben Affleck as a Ninja, swooping down with an AK-47 and felling the Centurion guards and snatching Jesus from the cross. >,> I laughed, but felt kinda guilty doing so...

- He referenced Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and how sometimes how trailers are all he needs to see for a movie. He saw the trailer for Seabiscuit and doesn't actually want to see the movie, because the trailer in itself had him weeping, and he thinks the movie will let him down. XD In referral to Sky Captain, he said "Giant Robots. When this movie comes out there won't be any more made after it, 'cause there won't be anything else to see." He also said that if the movie just had total destruction, even if it only lasted 10 minutes, he'd go see it. XD *watches trailer* Looks cool. ^_^

- An independent Film Director wanted to know if she could be an "AD" (Assistant Director) for him - he said "Why? You've already made films, why do you want to be an AD? Be a 'D'!" I couldn't agree more. :)

- Question: "From one Fat Nerd to another: Which would win, Oompa-Loompas or Flying Monkeys?" Answer: "You think I'm a Fat Nerd?" and "Flying Monkeys. (Why?) They Fly. And anyone who throws their shit wins in a fight."

- Smith and Mewes are big Degrassi fans! When he got his first cheque for selling Clerks, the first thing he did was call Scholastic and buy all of Degrassi and Degrassi Jr. High - and the movie, which he never knew existed. When he got the movie, he immediately called Mewes and they watched it twice in a row. XD Plus, there was a couple of the Degrassi people there. Now, if only I could remember names. All I remember is "Joey Jeremiah".

If he comes back to TO I am so going again. I thought it was great to have him right there. Even if the venue was larger, it wouldn't be totally bad - he's just so funny to listen to. His story of moving to Vancouver (with the cockroaches... *shudder*) was long, but highly amusing. :)
