Here I am, at work. I went and had Crepes this afternoon before heading to work. Hmmm, Ham and Egg.
So, how did the Gathering/Birthday Party go on Saturday? AWESOMELY.
Dave and Erin came by initially to spend some time before they went to a CD release party. During the time we were playing Pop'n Music Disney Tunes, Gaffney and his crew show up, and we spend the next hour or so playing more Disney Tunes (since hearing "It's a Small World" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" in Japanese is just bizarre, aside fromManic Mania Mode).
The Fanboys started showing up around 3ish and continued to show up every 30 minutes or so apart, somestimes greeted by our Pre-Warning System (Jake), sometimes not. :P
We were all in the basement watching Looney Tunes until Dinnertime, when we ordered Pizza Hut, then I went out to Dominion with Burn to pick up some incidental stuff (cups - whoops!) and the pizzas arrived. ^_^
We made one homemade pizza (I ended up making two pizzas this morning so that the dough didn't go bad/explode). I'm getting good at that :P
It was a blast. People were everywhere, our hall runner ended up being a shoe/boot tray, and there was tons of games in the basement (OK, just Burnout 2 - GO BUSES! OH THE BUSES!) and a strange variety of anime in the Living Room (strange, I don't remember watching any anime yesterday, save for Happy Lesson and Kino's Journey... more on those later).
We had tons of Pop and Chips and Pizza and Stuff. It was incredible how well it worked out. ^_^
After everyone had left, I started cleaning up (thanks Sabrina for cleaning up the cups). I was vacuuming when Jake started barking at the door - turns out about 8 people missed the last subway southbound home O.o - so I made tea and we chatted for a bit until we worked out a solution. Even that was nice, if a bit stressing for them. :P
I believe, the most people we had in the place was 28 people, seperated over three different areas (Living Room/Anime, Basement/Gaming, Kitchen). No-one saw my parents again - they're like the Polkaroo, they are. They just disappear whenever people come over. :P
Turnpike Films is getting alot of web-press with this advertisment for Nutrigrain Bars being passed around. :P I have to admit, tho, I like this commercial, too. But it's because I'm a Nintendo Whore. XD
All of a sudden, my head is hurting...
Before the Gathering started yesterday, I watched Happy Lesson and Kino's Journey to get "in the mood" - Happy Lesson has a character design much like an H-game's artstyle I like (which means I might seek this series out >,>) and Kino's Journey, I think I'll have to pick up. It looks quite nice, and the concept (a traveler who never stays in a country for more than 3 days, with a talking motorad as his companion) works well. I've been told that it gets a little more... almost gory in the next episode. Maybe I should rent it and Heat Guy J and see if I like either.
