Time for some links. I need some entertainment, and you're coming along for the ride with me! XD
Dancing Bunnyman. Why did the song have to be so catchy! XD
The Thing That Waits. Strange.
This guy is cool... he did a Harmonica Beatbox.
According to Adobe, the term "Photoshopping" is not correct. But we say it was Photoshopped anyway. (Speaking of which, Adobe's starting to use that "Product Activation" stuff - yes, like Microsoft - that checks via the internet to make sure you've got a legit version of whatever you own. I guess this means Photoshop 6 will what I'll be using from here on in, then...)
Weebl's made a nice Mixer this week. ^_^ And it's got a Monkey!
B3ta has a giant list of Lies your parents told you. There are priceless. XD EDIT: Also, there's a website of them here. ^_^
I've seen chalk art on the streets of Toronto, but nothing like Kurt Wenner. He does 3D. O.o
And I'm stunned, yet again! This one guy makes scenes and landscapes and people out of sand, using an overhead projector!
And finally, I have a personal message from you all from the Semaphore Ninja!
As for yesterday, I woke up after an incredible 11 hours of sleep \O.o/ and then went to crepes (Nutella with Walnuts, wow, I won't need Nutella for a while ^_^) and URAnime with Chris and Ysa. They didn't get their DVDs in so they ended up showing a mostly different schedule - the Escaflowne Movie (wow, the TV series was way better, if you had no knowledge of Escaflowne you wouldn't like it at all since you don't really get to know anything about anyone), Saikano episodes 12 and 13 (I tried not to, but weeped... Can't help it), and upon playing Onegai Twins, we left and went and had dumplings. ^_^
Saikano still has that impact with me. Brings me to the point of tears a lot. How the heck'm I gonna cosplay Shuji? XD

But the movie had stellar music, terrific (and better) art, and I didn't find the main two characters NEARLY as annoying as in the show.
The benefits of being a late anime fan is enjoying movies instead of getting stuck being used to something.

I found that when you have to introduce all the main characters, a lot just get shown for maybe a minute (like Gaddes and Allen), and it seems like they were really cramped.
The organic Escaflowne and other Armours (as opposed to the metal TV versions) were cool, tho. ^_^
In regards to TV series adaptations to Movies, what did you think about the Cowboy Bebop movie? I think that one was wonderful, but there's only 3 or 4 main characters, not the team of 10 that Escaflowne has.

True, some characters will suffer being fit in a less than 2 hour time frame, but you wouldn't mind if you hadn't seen the series before, and you'd be able to appreciate the fact that the movie is much better.
Cowboy Bebop isn't really comparable, simply because that was a movie that took place within the series, and played more like an episode than anything else. It was completely different from Escaflowne in many ways before you even get to characters.
