If anyone's wondering; I'm feeling better considering my state of mind this morning.
So, let me give ya a bit of info on the Palm.
It's an M125, which is a really basic B&W model. Palm has been advertising a special - buy a Palm M125 or M130 (that one's colour one and $150 more), get a "Graduation Expansion Card which has some neat business-like programs on it, as well as an eBook of "The Graduate".
So, I go to Future Shop, and lo and behold, there's an "Open Box" M125 laying in a display case. It's $30 less than an unopened box, and there's nothing wrong with it that I can see. So, I end up purchasing that. (It came with a Ziploc bag of manuals, and the UPC code, because they can't store all the boxes.)
The person who originally had it didn't clean out his information - there was a couple of memos and addresses. I cleaned them off quickly.
So, once I get the cradle hooked up to my computer (quick-n-easy), I HotSync it with the software and now I have my Palm Desktop, too. :)
later looking through the manuals, I find a package labelled "a gift from Palm". A 16MB Expansion Card is inside.
So now, I have an 8MB Palm (with only 1MB full), 16MB additional memory, and a mail-in form for the Graduation Card.
Not a bad value at all for $270. :)
What am I gonna do with 24MB of (primarily) text-only memory? I could probably write the Great Canadian Novel that my Broadcasting teacher oh-so-wanted us to create :P
Took a catnap at 4:00 for 2 hours before getting ready for the overnight shift, and I'm feeling good right now. Hopefully I can manage for the rest of the night. :)
