So here I was, deciding to pick up a copy of Playback to see what's going on in Canadian Television.
The first article I notice, since this issue was released September 15th, was for Toronto1. No, I haven't turned it on - I've been too enamoured with TechTV.
So, they start out...
[the band] is two bars into the opening theme when host Enis Esmer...
I stop. Enis Esmer!? This kid was with me in ...high school, was it? O.o I ran into him a few years ago while waiting for Spirited Away was at the Toronto International Film Festival... and he was giving away promo cans of Pepsi Twist or something like that.
Now he's the HOST?
I have to admit, I'm impressed. He was always a joker at class. And this is the age where we start seeing people from our classes start showing up in the media. And heh, Zev Shalev (who was the owner of U8TV) is now the executive producer. Incredible.
This will be an eye-opener for me, reading this magazine... I've not kept my finger on the pules of TV for a long time.
EDIT: Hey, if anyone has Video-On-Demand on their TV systems, I highly recommend checking it out - with Rogers here, they have free stuff from Atom Television for free, and I would highly recommend seeing The Periwig-Maker, This Guy is Falling, and Saving Ryan's Privates. Now if they only had Stainboy on there... ^_^

unrelated . . .
I'm writing to ask if you're coming to UR tomorrow night after you get off work. ^^
Re: unrelated . . .
I'll be there after 10, so I'll be there just in time for Abenobashi, Sexy Commando and Texhnolyze (if we're staying for that :P).
Re: unrelated . . .
There isn't any other work I really feel like doing here (I'm in class) . . . wrote my exam, finished my 'progress checks', don't feel like donig much else. Including posting an actual update from a crowded computer lab. ^^ Maybe when I get home . . .
