(no subject)

I thought of a cool Anime Music Video that I could do, even tho I have no DVD-ROM nor a ripping program or whatnot to encode video to my comp. ^_^

I'm going to take "The Second Renaissance Part I" and "The Second Renaissance Part II" (from The Animatrix and cut them to the song Attack Music by Machinae Supremacy.

And since they gave away the episodes for free, I have them sitting quietly on my computer in Quicktime (awesome hi-res!) and I'll just edit away with Adobe Premiere ^_^

Well, I managed to get my SaiKano "Special Edition" disc running in my player (by force), and I still can't get the actual episode disc to run, tho...

So, today I went looking at DVD Players, and found the same one that Servo had. Nice-looking case, nice graphics... good handling of DVDs...

...can't get the unlock code to work. >_< *curses*

I've been looking at DVD pages all evening and came upon some good prices for good systems, it seems - I wonder if I can find a Norcent at Walmart... they're supposedly $70 and easily hacked. If I can find one, I can even change the background/loading page graphic ^_^ Not a bad price for that, either...

I went to a place called Teletime downtown and was kinda pressured into almost buying one. Of course, they say all the stuff I want to hear, but I wonder if all of it's real or not. Electrohome's EH8158 is supposedly region-free out of the box, only $138, has composite and component outs... If I can't find one by Friday I'll pop in there with a Region-2 DVD and see if it works - but I've read bad things that they skip :| I also don't like that if there's a problem, I get an "exchange", not a refund. Maybe I'll just avoid there...

So tomorrow I have to start making another batch of Lemon Sorbet (it takes a day to freeze, then I have to slush it up and refreeze it) for the Gathering, and I'm going to make Tako's Black & Tan cookies again, too (that's a Saturday chore). (The Black&Tan cookies, if I applied the right twist, could be Yin-Yang cookies ^_^) Friday, I'm going with my Dad to get a nice suit. I need a nice suit, one that I can keep for a long time. ^_^

BTW, if you want to see something rather gross... take a small cup (like, not more than an inch in diameter), fill it with a small quantity of instant coffee crystals, and add a small amount of water. The crystals kinda sink into the water, which quickly becomes a mud... x_X ew. Even if I did drink coffee, I wouldn't choose that stuff...
