Dammit. Otaku.com (not getting a link, for reasons stated below) cancelled my order for the DVD1+Box for the Saikano DVD.
*sighs and looks at CDJapan* is it really worth the $300 for all the Region-2 DVDs, I ask myself...
...or I do I wait until some anime company picks it up and releases it domestically? *sigh*
I guess I'll make-do for now with the digisubs. Now if only I could figure out how to get Nero (or any burning program) to automatically add the letterbox (black bars) at the top and the bottom when converting it to an VCD format.
(I have TMPGEnc, and for some reason it skips frames like a mofo. Nero just stretches the file to fill the black space, which is even worse. Anyone know of any good encoders that will burn a letterboxed movie without stretching it?)

But for something you love... You should really get the official ones... The Chinese Pirate is out afterall, if you really need it.

But yeah, I don't want to pick up the HK/Chinese Pirate ones to support a series I enjoy so much.
I wanted to VCD the Digisubs I have just so we don't have to sit in front of the computer to watch it, which is another reason for me to pick up the DVDs.
But I think it might be a conflict between my player and the way TMPGEnc handles encoding. (when Nero handles re-encoding, the VCDs are fine, but it can't do letterboxed.)
I'll be fine right now without making copies. I'd prefer to support the companies for shows that I really want. I'm just hoping that some company eventually will pick it up. Heck, it already has English subtitles, they wouldn't need to do much aside from dubbing and extras. ^_^
Then, if I really really really want to, CDJapan is one place I can find it... at least, at the moment.
