Spoils:
- Chobits 3 DVD (no pencilboard, but meh).
- Signed "Broken Miho" poster (more on that later)
Tomorrow I'll definitely have more stuff :)
I need to relax tomorrow. I shouldn't be working so much. :| I worked from 10 until 6 today, with a ... hm, 3.5-hour break in the middle, I think. So maybe I didn't work SO much... :P
During this break, I went to see Fred 'Piro' Gallagher at the Megatokyo Panel. He had some funny little mentions about how this was his first Canadian convention, and how he fished a box of feathers out of an anime store's trashbin awhile back (aXe, do you have any Haibane Renmei promo boxes? ^_^), what he's working on (the Miho blanket... looks sooo... sooo very, very sw33t), his new book, the Warmth project, etc. It was great. ^_^
Then I rushed over to the lineup and got my Broken Miho poster signed by both Seraphim and Piro. ^_^ I've gotta get a frame for it now! ^_^
Eeps, it looks like my Palm has crashed again. O.o I'll retrieve what I can, but I'd hate it if it jammed up again.
Here's what was written in it - skip over this if you want to read better descriptions later.

I went to the Masquerade after working today. My Palm was dying halfway through, so suddenly a lot of entries were just quickly scribbled in. Here's better detail on them:
We were in the Canadian Idol set! I was surprised... it only holds about 1300 people.
The first Lord of the Rings cosplay had Sam and Frodo, along with Merry and Pippin, and Gollum and Sauron (!) singing a musical! A big song-and-dance number with Gandelf watching from the sidelines... incredible energy, and a great start to the Masquerade.
There was a quite-scantily-clad Morrigan (from Darkstalkers) there. The EmCee (Gord Rose) finished by "costume inspired by... my fantasies". XD
At this point Em wrote a little note in the Palm: gord is a sick bastard. fine upstanding individual my ass. shit he's funny.
There was a scene where Bakara (?) from Yu-Gi-Oh was playing with dolls, and well, it got a little heated and they were, um, having the dolls make out. :P Gord's comment: "Inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh and... puberty, I guess?"
We got Gord to "Dance!" upon request...
There was a whole group of people doing Ragnarok Online and they had a Player Fight Area battle, where there was a bit of Lag (someone froze mid-stroke) and a few Matrix moves (slowdown).
Pronounciation. He asked the costumers backstage how to pronounce their characters names. One would say "it's pronounced Toh-May-Toh". Another, doing the same costume, would say, "it's pronounced Toh-Mah-Toh". Then he gets up and presents them and the audience shouts "it's pronounced APPLE". XD
Some figures, when they get old, just get senile. Gandalf, covering his face, walked on-stage, wandered around a bit, obviously confused, then removed his hate revealing a Darth Vader helmet and producing a sign that said "Where is the Star Wars set?" XD
Gord mentioned that we were in an auditorium. Says the Audience: "It's a theatre!" Reply: "APPLE!"
Following that, the Stage Ninja that had dressed up as Neo came onstage and KISSED Gord. The crowd went wild. XD
"Entry number blah blah blah... from Saikano, Chise......" *blink blink* HOLY SHIT that was cool. So there's someone ELSE on this planet who knows of this series! She just walked up on-stage, her shirt half-stained with blood, wings protruding from her back, with this GIGANTIC gun-arm... DAMN that was awesome. I didn't think ANYONE would do that. I think I might have been the only one who knew what the heck that was all about XD
There was a set of 4 Dragonball Z characters, and they were humourous - a very cool trick was when two of their "power fireballs" connected, they flashed a camera into the audience ^_^ And Mr. Satan hurt his fist on Krillin's head XD
There was a short skit with someone picking music for another character, and the "purchaser" had this hovering sash over her head... she deliberately and literally HIT the other girl with the sash, the timing was perfect and cracked Gord up - I was laughing hard, too - that was pure comedy ^_^
The only Trigun entry this year (as opposed to the multiple Vashs from last year), had Vash stealing the Tim Horton's from the Insurance girls, only to find Kuronekosama in the box. XD
What's the Junichi dance? There were several Fruits Basket characters doing this tricky Junichi - Junishi, perhaps? - dance where they step in-and-out of a cross of bamboo sticks. Very cool to watch :)
A couple of characters from Paradise Kiss and Line Inverse did the "Ultra Relax" song (which is actually quite hyper and catchy).
There was a T-800 (The Terminator) in the masquerade - when he was done, someone shouted "That doesn't look like the Govenor of California!"
There was a FULL PRISS HARDSUIT from Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Very impressive. ^_^
One of the final masqueraders was a Card Captor Sakura, but she had lost her Li fairly early, so she asked - first Gundam W boys - to fight... and the Dragon Ball Z guys from earlier broke out in the middle of the audience and fought each other XD
And the last entry, there was a Fushigi Yuugi cast. ALL of them on Miaka's and Yui's sides. It took the masquerade EmCee a while to announce them all. ^_^
It's too bad he's not returning next year - it was his second-last time he was doing it, and I really enjoyed his jokes and keeping the audience entertained. XD Well, we wished him a happy birthday - twice - as it was his birthday (Happy 44th, Gordon Rose!) and went on our ways.
Ugh, I'm feeling slightly sickish. Maybe I shouldn't have finished off that Cool Nestea...
I'm going to be there on-time tomorrow. Considering we start at 11 and not 10, I sure HOPE I can get there at a reasonable time.
