...kay, that was wrong on so many levels...

Anyhoooo... XD

Yesterday we went Berrying! A group of 8 people all converged at Whittamore's for picking raspberries. ^_^

Ysa, you fanatic. You mentioned something about picking berries, then I mentioned that I picked berries last year, and *poof* here we are, jamming maniacs. XD

We picked a whole LOTTA raspberries yesterday. I was thinking we'd be able to go get sweet peas and snowpeas too, but by the time we had picked thousands of berries (after about 90 minutes, I guess), it started to rain. We were mildly prepared for the rain, but most of us got wet anyhow :P And we were dead-tired from picking. How did we survive picking strawberries for 2 hours when strawberries are so much lower to the ground?

We returned back to Chris and Ysa's to begin Jamming procedures. We be jammin' till the break o' dawn! XD I had to leave around 7:30ish 'cause I needed to sleep for work today (boo ass), and I dropped Kevin off at Yorkdale - but not before getting hopelessly lost trying to get INTO the place. heading West, you take the Allen Road turnoff. We didn't know and missed that, so heading East, we have to take the Dufferin turnoff. Missed that one too 'cause we weren't knowing that, either. XD But I figure that everyone else stayed for a longer time, looking for "structurally sound" raspberries and "squishberries", and processing, no doubt. I didn't know you have to let cooked jam sit for a full day before moving it again...

Considering the amount that was being made in one batch and that was only for one basket (approximately), I think we're going to have raspberry jam coming out our ears for the next few months, at LEAST. XD

*wonders if I'll be able to stomach raspberries so soon after eating so many picked-off-the-vine*
