I saw Pirates of the Caribbean today. What an incredible movie that was. Before the movie started, Christine and I saw the trailer for the new "Tomb Raider" movie, and I mentioned that I wasn't one to go see a movie based on a video game. However, Pirates of the Caribbean is based on a ride at Disneyworld... hard to break logic there.
Not to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but I must say that the "moonlight seuqences" were the scenes that made me stare in awe. I was really impressed.
Ysa, I didn't even REALIZE it was Orlando Bloom until the credits rolled and saw his name beside William. I guess I'm locked into the "blonde elvish look" and therefore didn't even realize it was him. XD Both Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp were incredible in the movie, and the swordfighting is awesome, too :)
Before I saw that movie, I went up to Pirra's and Dominion and picked up some grub for the Gathering - Corn on the Cob and a Watermelon. ^_^ I don't know if we have any burgers O.o but we have a 24-7 Dominion nearby, if no-one else brings stuff... ^_^
Kev might not be in until midnight? O.o I hope he can be in earlier! He's gonna miss out on the URAnime Goodness, followed by me probably snorting my milkshake by accident because of some off-hand comment that gets misinterpreted XD I shall be making phone calls in the morn.
I remembered that my NVidia card has a built-in "Coolbits" feature on it - just add a registry value, and the card is instantly overclockable in the NVidia control panel XD I haven't bothered to overclock it - I have no need - but the option is there, at least XD

Jason, you are somewhat left-hemisphere dominant and show a preference for visual learning, although not extreme in either characteristic. You probably tend to do most things in moderation, but not always.
Your left-hemisphere dominance implies that your learning style is organized and structured, detail oriented and logical. Your visual preference, though, has you seeking stimulation and multiple data. Such an outlook can overwhelm structure and logic and create an almost continuous state of uncertainty and agitation. You may well suffer a feeling of continually trying to "catch up" with yourself.
Your tendency to be organized and logical and attend to details is reasonably well-established which should afford you success regardless of your chosen field of endeavor. You can "size up" situations and take in information rapidly. However, you must then subject that data to being classified and organized which causes you to "lose touch" with the immediacy of the problem.
Your logical and methodical nature hamper you in this regard though in the long run it may work to your advantage since you "learn from experience" and can go through the process more rapidly on subsequent occasions.
You remain predominantly functional in your orientation and practical. Abstraction and theory are secondary to application. In keeping with this, you focus on details until they manifest themselves in a unique pattern and only then work with the "larger whole."
With regards to your career choices, you have a mentality that would be good as a scientist, coach, athlete, design consultant, or an engineering technician. You can "see where you want to go" and even be able to "tell yourself," but find that you are "fighting yourself" at the darndest times.
Well, I am organized - at work... and I do like looking at tons of stuff and making sure it all works out... pretty cool little test, even if I found the questions to be almost nonsensical at times.
QUICK EDIT: I shouldn't try to work so fast in Windows... I accidentaly hit the "Exit LiveJournal"button instead of the "What Are My Friends Doing?" button... JUST after I posted. I'm lucky it did...

I work until 1:30 today. Suck ass, I know.
What I wanted to axe you was if you would mind being chauffeur-boy today and pick me up! :D Chris and Ysa are willing to tag along for the ride to keep you company... as far as getting here, well that's as simple as driving to Kitchener and taking the 7/8 highway to Stratford! :D Once you take said highway into this city, you'll be on Ontario street. Keep driving, for on your right you will notice the beautiful orange & brown signage for A&W. Guess where I'LL be for a while today? ^^;
Let me know, mandinga.

(Also, I did get your ICQ message.)
I'll call you in an hour or so when it seems likely that you'll be awake. ^_^
