I may as well outline what happened last night... heh, I keep forgetting that this isn't just a link-o-rama. XD
I was over at Kinnon's after work last night. We tried out a slew of Playstation shooters and games that he grabbed off the Internet, and they were a lot of fun. I really liked that shooting game, whatever it was called. But the cooking game... "Ore no Ryouri"...
The cooking game is odd, but fairly simple in its idea. the left analog pad works as your left hand, and the right analog works as your right hand. So, if you need to pour Beer, you tilt the left controller a bit to tilt the mug, then pull the right controller to draw the beer. (I was kinda surprised that the beer head actually will "overflow" if you pour too much and it looks convincing XD)
When mixing Natto, you just spin the right-hand controller in a clockwise direction.
When cutting Vegetables or Naruman Rolls, you move the left controller to the left to draw your hand across the object, while rapidly tapping down on the right controller to cut the vegetable.
When a drunk wanders into the restaurant, you call 110 (Japan's 911).
To flip yakisoba, you rotate both controllers in opposite directions, trying to make the spatulas scrape the metal at the same time to cook it evenly.
Etc, etc, etc...
Fanboys: When/if you come to the Gathering, ask me to show you that game. It's hilarious. ^_^
