As usual, I'm rethinking my Parking comment. I parked today on a sidestreet that will keep me safe until about 5:30, then I'll need to move the car again or feed the meter.
Anne tells me that the parking place that I manageed to find yesterday (which is still quite good - evening shifts are $4, and it closes around 11 or so, and wasn't open today) wasn't the one she referred to - she says the one found is a little further away and just so happens to be in the red-light district. :\ But that one's also open all the time, so I don't have to park at two different parking lots depending on the shift - but the Red Light District mention has me worried. I may go check it out before actually parking there.
But anyways, I parked the car, came to work, and half an hour later went back to check on it, because I hadn't looked around adequately and I was worried I might have parked in front of a fire hydrant or something. I hadn't - however, looking across the street, there's a "No Parking" sign from Monday-Saturday, 8-6.
Which means I could've parked on the other side of the street for free. &%$%$*%!!
Lesson learned, tho. Now if I'm working a night shift on Sunday, I can park on that street for free. Other night shifts, I just scoot down the street a touch and there's $4 parking.
