Again with the wacky news.

KitKat is experiencing an unusual spike in Japan, but it's because Japanese students are purchasing them for good luck.

Nestle's chocolate bar sounds very similar to a popular Japanese expression, "Kitto Katsu", which roughly translates as "I hope you will win". As it is currently exam time in Japan, parents and students are purchasing them (and its many different Japan-only variations, such as green tea, passionfruit, and lemon-cheesecake) and giving them as good-luck gifts.

I realized that the St Lawrence Market is right around the corner from where I work, and so I decided to go take a wander through there after work.

I didn't remember many prices, but I did notice that ground beef is cheaper there than in the stores, which leads me to believe other meats will be cheaper, too.

I mentioned going over there and someone suggested that I try Tilapia. I may still. I like fish. But first, I need to clean up/out my fridge. There's a lot of stuff in there that should go quickly.

And someday, I'll go into the St. Lawrence Market and compare prices. :)

I need to find all my old Nintendo games - I think I've got them in storage, but I want to give some of my older systems to my sister, since she's wanting something resembling a game system, and she has a number of SNES games that she borrowed when she went to Halifax. She always kicked my ass at Uniracers. ^_^
