Today I went over to Dave and Erin's and chilled a touch with them. We played some WarioWare (wacky), Mario Power Tennis (fun but tricky), watched my short Detective Conan Live-Action ripoff (:P) and Monty Python's the Life of Brian (which I hardly remembered, shame on me!), and much Cheese Fondueage was had. :D So Goood... ;P~~~

And as he just got a new compy lately, I got to salvage his old one for parts. I currently have a Dell ("Dude! You got a Dell?") sitting in the trunk of my car - hey, I had too much stuff to carry up tonight! Maybe the compy tomorrow. But I have a pair of DDR memory chips that appear to be perfectly compatible with my compy.

If you don't see me update in the next few days, assume the worst has occured and that I've fried my compy and will need to have a big hole added to it. ;)

Before I do that, here's some Randomness from Wicabeth )

Yeehaw, Nelly! Twice the Data Transfer and Twice the Memory.

I didn't even need to flip the Jumper like it says in the manual - it was in a software adjust mode so I just needed to verify my settings and I'm good to go!

Let's see how well this puppy handles...

*checks memory usage* Man, Even with my basic stuff running it takes up 256MB. This must've really been pushing my 384MB. This is gonna be one sweet ride for a while longer. :D

I've ben waking up around 3:00am every morning lately for some odd reason. I can only assume because of the time that something electronic/mechanical is starting up/shutting down and is disrupting my sleep.

I woke up around 6:00 (normal work wake-up time) to hear my computer making a noise (high-pitched steady squeak) through its speakers. Rebooted it and went looking for a Memory Tester. Went back to sleep.

Got a call around 7:15 in the morning. Father Tom tells me the station's been black all night since 10:30 last night. I called Sarah and she said she'd look into it when she got there. (I later find out the station has not, in fact, been black at all. Must be Father's Rogers Box. Or whomever called Father and complained about it.)

Finally woke up around 11:30 to my Palm's reminder for something. Finally ran the Memory Test (cool, it's Linux. ^^) and I didn't get any errors out of the thing. I guess my compy's just being a little strange warming up to the new hardware and all that.

This motherboard is versatile! If I can find a cheap "Socket A" Athlon or Duron, this motherboard can handle it. How bizarre. The only thing that concerns me is installing the chips. Never done it before, and the thought scares me because of the cost and the fragility of the chip.

Oh, and here's my resolution:

In the year 2005 I resolve to:

Bang the girl who lives next door.

Believe it or not, first try. BAAAAAHAHAHAHAAA!

EDIT: *sniff sniff* I think I smell weed... O.o
