First off, I want to apologize for not updating at all this weekend. I finally got my Internet back up and running as of Saturday morning, and as I've been catching up on what I've missed for the past 2 weeks (which is really stupid of me, I could do that anytime) I didn't feel like chatting with people.
Once I get back into the groove, I'll be online more often. And I'll turn Trillian on for more than 5 minutes. :P
The other thing that's keeping me from getting online so much is the condo. I'm wanting to finish the painting, but I ran out of paint last week on Thursday, so I need to go pick up some more today.
The place is still a mess, as well, partly caused by the painting. Everything's shifted to the middle of the room so I can maneuver around the walls, and the bedroom - which is untouched by a fresh coat of paint, as I can't decide what colour to use - has about 10 boxes in it that I haven't even looked at yet. It's a bit daunting, but I'm going to try to find some boxes to hold my magazines in so I can store them away. I have a ton of boxes from moving, so I bet I'll end up using those.
I got to work today after walking by a row of cars with their hazard lights on - turns out Corner Gas is holding their second year of Free Gas from 7-9am, and it was located at the gas station across the street from ours. When I walked by initially, I got a free hat. :P
I got a call at work, asking of Erich was around to shoot. Unfortunately, he wasn't, but he came in after sprinting from the subway, grabbed a camera, and we went out for a quick story about the spirit of giving. Kim used to know Brent Butt, so they were "It's been a long time!"
I tagged along and basically held the microphone for the interviews. And then I got a Corner Gas hoodie. o.o So now I'm decked out in a hat and hoodie! Sweet!
If I had only known, I would've left earlier. Free gas never hurt. :) And like the officer mentioned during the interview, "No-one is ever smiling at the pumps anymore. Today, from seven o'clock to nine, everyone was leaving with a smile and a wave."
So yeah, watch Corner Gas tomorrow night. :P </plug>
I'll update with my weekend (bowling!) later on tonight.
