Wahhhh. I'm still sick. :(
I've decided to pop down to the computer anyways to let you all know that I'm still living and because I'm working today, I fear that my illness (whatever the heck it might be) will still be around this weekend :(
Friday, I worked with Kinnon at Ryan's Table, and ran into a number of cosplayers. I have a couple of snaps, and I'll post them another time. (I'm gonna swipe this one from Chris, as I was a fool and forgot to snap a picture of the FLCL duo.) On Friday night (after being glomped by Emily, who had just arrived at the Con ^-^) the Fanboys had put together "Whose Dub Is It Anyway" and that was incredibly funny :D but sadly, I left part-way through it as I was sick and had a headache... :(
Saturday, I didn't work at all, and wandered around for the majority of the morning. I can't even remember what I did in the morning... In the afternoon, I joined a "Para Para Lessons" class for 2 hours, and learned the real Para Para moves for "Boom Boom Fire" and "Tora Tora Tora" ^-^ That was a lot of fun! Too bad I really don't play Para Para mode in the arcades... :P
Following the Para Para, I went to the time-honoured traditional Fanboys Confic reading. Again, I got many pictures, many of Chaos being smited - several times with the Hello Kitty Mallet, octopi, a Gema ball, etc, etc... I'll put them up later.
I remember that I ran into my cousin, Kyle, at the YTV Stand this year. I wasn't expecting YTV to have any presence there at all, and yet they did The Zone and Vortex live from there! Plus, there was a BeyBlade tournament, and that's where I ran into my cuz. 3-2-1-Let It Rip! ^-^
I had to relax for a while midway through Saturday because of my head and such. Being sick SUCKS!
I had (a short) dinner with Emily and Marc around 5:30, and we had this delicious "Crispy Pork" with sesame seeds. Em practically pushed me out the door telling me to go to the Toronto Aibo Organization (TAO) so I could see a couple of my favorite autonomous robots. I didn't expect to find a 220 there! (Hover your mouse over "ERS-220A") Oh yeah! and because I'm a dull-minded dimwit, I left my keys to my car in the Dealer's Room and didn't go get them before visiting the TAO. >,< I ultimately didn't leave until like 9:30 or so, and I crashed all sick-like when I got home.
Sunday, I went in a bit late, and wanted to catch a show in a certain room. I managed to find the hall, and noticed that all the rooms had 2 doors - one to the main room, one to this mini-bar. I found the room I wanted to go to - only one door tho - and surprise, it was the mini-bar door. O.o I don't know where that second door went...
I worked for the rest of the con, but "snuck out" to go to the Charity Auction. I can't happily say that the sneaking was successful, because I was gone for like an hour O.o If they had done the Auction in order (and on-time, mind you), maybe I would have picked up "Now and Then, Here and There".
Over the course of the con, I acquired (all DVDs):
Chobits Vol.2
Serial Experiments lain "Blue" Box Set
Steel Angel Kurumi (all 5 discs)
the other 2 Mini-Goddess discs I was missing
Blue Seed "Perfect Collection"
In terms of other stuff... hmmmm..... hmmmm..... I got a Chobits accessory clip thingy (like to attach to a zipper pull), a TOFU Book (Toronto Ontario Fanartists Unite - when I ran the Art Room a few years ago they were all bitchy, I doubt they remember me), and a Utena Art Book for Emily.
Maybe the Anime North Staff don't remember that I quit 3 or 4 years ago on a rather sour note cough*egobattle*cough, but people still come up to me and tell me all the problems they have. Is this public knowledge that the place is unorganized? ...wait, maybe that actually is. I don't care to hear the bad stuff. Do I really look that approachable to talk to about anything at all? ...even if I really shouldn't hear it? *shrug* Don't care, con's gone, on to CNAnime... ^-^
The past two days (Mon/Tue) I've been resting. Emily came over yesterday and we watched some Lain and Kurumi We talked about stuff that's happened in the past week (since we really haven't seen each other at all since last week), and I kept managing to get her to crack up by making a straight face (I never thought that would work, but when I get a "F**k off and Die!" response, I think I've got her ;) ). Dave came over today and showed off all the swag he got from E3, and gave me stuff like a Mario Kart Double Dash T-Shirt and a couple of cool catalogues :P I've mostly been lying sideways in my bed fo the past 2 days, with my DVD Player conveniently relocated to my bedroom TV so I could catch up on all the anime I need to still watch. I've gotten through all of Kurumi (great show, I still like Key The Metal Idol better, even tho Kurumi has a Happy End and Key definitely does not) and one DVD of Mini-Goddess, so I have another one to burn through, then Lain and Blue Seed, plus the 3 Miyazaki movies... heh. That's a lot to go.
Blah, I should get to sleep in an hour, too! I need to work bright-n-early tomorrow, which, of course, sucks. I only hope things go well tomorrow at work, considering we're in the middle of the move.
